Shaggy's name was not first revealed to be Norville until the post-Scrappy era of the franchise. "The Sludge Monster from the Earth's Core" from A Pup Named Scooby-Doo is the first episode where the name is ever used.

We're going to do a very different type of poll this week! This is a poll I actually wanted to do last week following the museum poll, but I was on vacation, so I decided to hold it back until this week, since this is a poll where I wanted to be able to check a couple times throughout the day to respond to any potential discussion.
We've been doing a lot of "what's your favorite episode involving a certain type of setting/villain?" questions for the weekly polls lately. In the past few weeks, there has been a lot of debate in the comments about whether every possible option should be included in the poll, or if the options should be limited to only episodes/films where the type of setting or villain in the question plays a significant role in the overall plot. For example, two weeks ago with the museum poll, episodes like "Chiller Diller Movie Thriller" and "The Spooky Case of the Grand Prix Race" where a museum played a small role in the episode were suggested as options. There was also some discussion over whether episodes including Alcatraz should count as a museum since it is one in real-life, even though none of the episodes presented Alcatraz as a museum. I really appreciate when you all remind me if I've forgotten an option, or propose a potential option that people might want to choose. There are definitely times where I forget to include an episode, and I'm sure there will be times in the future where I forget options again. Two weeks ago, we started with 10 options for the museum poll, and we ended up with 26 different options by the end of the week. I was thinking it would be a good idea to do a poll like this to see people's preference of how broad you want the poll options to be, just so there's less confusion over what should count. I think it would be good to have most of us on the same page, so people aren't having to go back and revote multiple times because options keep being added. I'm sure I'll still forget to include an option somebody thinks should count every once in a while, and I'm happy to still add options as needed. In the past, I've tried to limit it to only options where the setting/villain play a prominent role in the plot, so that the amount of poll options don't get too overwhelming for people. However, I am open to making the polls include all possible options if that's what most people on here would prefer. The results of this poll will determine how I approach the options for weekly polls in the future. Obviously, the results of this poll won't please everybody, but I think it would be nice to establish what the majority of people on the blog want, so I can write up these polls with a clearer idea in mind of what everybody thinks should and shouldn't count. If you have any thoughts you want to share on this issue, feel free to share them in the comments! We now have the official trailer for Scooby-Doo and Krypto, Too! It appears to be a different version of the trailer we had last night, so I've replaced the trailer I originally had with the official version and moved all the comments over to this thread. In the comments on the YouTube video for the trailer, WB confirmed that the film will be released on September 26, 2023 on DVD and October 24, 2023 on digital. The DVD will include three superhero-themed bonus episodes from Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, including "The Scooby of a Thousand Faces!", "What a Night, for a Dark Knight!" and "One Minute Mysteries!"
Here is the front and back cover for the DVD, found on Target's website: When Scooby-Doo and Krypto, Too! was leaked on 4chan in March, many fans thought it would not be coming out. Over the past few months, we've seen a few hints that it may come out after all, including listings on International Amazon sites and a Scooby-Doo and Krypto Mysteries book series being released next January. However, we now have official confirmation from a tweet from WB Home Entertainment that Scooby-Doo and Krypto, Too! will have an official release on DVD, and likely this year. The tweet, which can be seen above and is linked in the previous sentence, reveals that an official trailer for the film will be released tomorrow (July 27)
Since all of the Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries comics will finish publishing in September, we'll only have one comic solicitation every other month for the foreseeable future for the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You comics. I'm also not really clear on what's going on with when they're releasing the solicitations. They used to be always on the third Friday of the month, but these past couple of months, it just seems to be a random day with no pattern as to when the solicitations are announced. Here's October's solicitation from GamesRadar+:
SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU? #124 Written by IVAN COHEN Pencils by WALTER CARZON Inks by HORACIO OTTOLINI Cover by WALTER CARZON $2.99 US | 32 pages ON SALE 10/3/23 The Mystery Machine takes the spotlight when the gang is invited to interview on a famous televised car show! But when a handful of vintage cars goes missing from the airplane-hangar garage set, Mystery Inc. is on the case. Can the gang catch the culprit before the Mystery Machine disappears, too? In "Now Museum, Now You Don't" from A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, the gang's teacher Ms. Takai tells the class that "konnichiwa" means "good morning" in Japanese. This is actually incorrect. "Konnichiwa" means "good afternoon," whereas the correct Japanese word for "good morning" is "ohayo.
