Four listings for a book series titled "Scooby-Doo and Krypto Mysteries" have been released. Similarly to the Batman books that have been release, each of these books will be standalone and will feature the gang teaming up with Krypto. This provides further potential evidence that WB may be thinking about still releasing Krypto, as it would be odd for them to release this book series when they've never teamed up in any official series or film. The target age range for this book series is kids 7 and under. Each book is 32 pages and is now available for pre-order on Amazon for $6.99 (paperback edition) and $23.99 (hardcover edition) at the links below (each title is linked to its respective book). No cover images are available yet. The books are written by Michael Anthony Steele, and illustrated by Mike Kunkel. They are listed by Amazon as releasing on January 1, 2024, but I doubt they would release books on New Year's Day when all the stores are closed, so I'm guessing that January date is just a placeholder saying that they will be released sometime this January.
Here are the descriptions and titles for each of the books: The Obedience Class Caper Scooby can't resist joining an obedience class that is offering free snacks. But soon, all the dogs except Scooby have robbed a jewelry store! The dazed dogs don't remember how they got there. Krypto and Scooby are on the case! But soon Krypto is being controlled too! Can the two crime-solving dogs get to the bottom of the mystery before anything else is stolen? The Case of the Stolen Scooby Snacks Scooby-Doo thinks his pal Krypto deserves a reward. What's a better reward than a Scooby Snack? But when he goes to look for his favorite snacks, they are all gone! Scooby Snacks have been stolen all over the city! Who is snatching the tasty treats? The Haunted Dog Park Mystery Scooby-Doo is enjoying a day at the dog park when a glowing ghost dog appears! When meddling monsters also pop up at the park, Krypto and Scooby team up to stop them. But who is behind these mysterious happenings? Dogs vs. Cats Scooby-Doo and the Super-Pets Krypto, Streaky, and Misty are all good crime fighters. But which animal is better--cats or dogs? After an emerald cat statue is stolen, the cats and dogs agree to a contest to find out. As the clues are sniffed out, who will come out on top?

I think that’s a good sign! They’ll probably have the movie release in September/October in time for Scoobtober. If that’s the case, hopefully within the next month or so we will see a trailer drop or an official announcement.

Agreed, this makes me very hopeful that they're going to release the movie after all! I can't imagine they would put these books out if there were no plans to release the film. Yeah, I think September or October is probably a good guess! It would be great if we could get a trailer soon!

There was no official announcement. I think a lot of fans just assumed it because it leaked and every other film and series (other than Velma) got cancelled.

That's really neat, I had no idea he wasn't originally planned to be in the film. Leave a Reply. |
