 In some very odd news today, a triple feature film has popped up on Amazon France, featuring none other than Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too! along with Scoob! and the DC Super Pets theatrical film all in one DVD bundle. I don't believe this listing was active previously, as Amazon UK was the only one that had a published listing for Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too. Amazon France lists a release date of September 20, 2023. While it does make me wonder if WB is deciding to release Krypto Too internationally after it leaked, I am unsure what this listing means, or if/when we'll get a US release of this. Regardless, I wanted to share it as I thought it was interesting.
Here's a link to the cover art, further confirming its legitimacy. Update 5/30/23: The film is now available for pre-order at the Amazon link above. Update 6/10/23: Amazon UK has added a description for the listing, which would further hint that this is coming out, as they would have no reason to add a description if they weren't thinking about releasing it. Update 6/16/23: Amazon France has changed the release date to October 4, 2023. Update 7/10/23: I didn't think there was enough info to make an entire new post for this, but I wanted to share that Amazon Italy and Germany have both added links to this triple feature, further hinting that this may still come out. Update 7/21/23: DVDFR, as well as Amazon France, has listed an individual DVD for the Krypto film, which will be released October 11, 2023. The movie was also added back on Digital Emation's website.

I’ve had a strong feeling for awhile that this film was going to still be released later this year around September/October, so this is pretty interesting to see this pop up. I hope this is a good sign! And hopefully as the months go on since Max launched we will see more news on new Scooby content moving forward!

I'm hoping so too! It's been weird not to have any news except for the comics. Both this listing and Amazon UK said September 20 and 25 respectively, so I'm guessing we would get it around the same date in the US if the listing is correct.

The thing to bear in mind is that Holiday Haunt was written out due to a tax write-off. However WB never stated that Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too had been written off. Somobody who worked at WB leaked since it since he saw how many Scooby-Doo projects had been canceled recentely. And he or she became convinced that the same fate would happen to the Krypto movie.

I think it's awesome that they dubbed the film so quickly! I know it can sometimes take longer for non-US countries, so I'm glad they're on top of it this time and are releasing it internationally right away.

Actually When I look at the art of the DVD, I am convinced this a offical release since I doubt a a bootleg DVD would have such art. I just hope this doesn't mean it will get released through europe only since it did get leaked onlie originally. Agreed, this looks pretty legitimate to me. I think it will get a US release. Nobody's mentioned it on here yet, but both France and the UK have listings for this with a release date of late September. I'm guessing we'll get the film released in the US in late September or early October, like we did Trick or Treat last year.

Same for me, although I was admittedly starting to think it was just never going to come out. It's a bummer that they've dropped down to only one DTV a year, but I'll take it over none. I think they will announce a US release for this, and I can't imagine a triple feature set is going to be the initial way they release this. I think it will probably get a standalone release.

I am not sure if they are going to release 1 a year from now on or because they cancelled some Scooby doo movies that were supposed to come out because last year we were going to get 2 Scooby doo movies but then holiday haunt got cancelled and written off and a similar thing happened to haunted high rise so we are probably not going to get to this year unless they have a Scooby doo movie to replace it but I don't think it's likely but I don't know that if having 1 Scooby doo movie a year is going to be permanent or it is just a thing that is happening untill Warner Discovery gets sorted out . 5/30/2023 01:39:00 pm
I was wondering that as well. It's possible that they could wait until 2024 to release another Scooby movie, since I'm almost positive Krypto and Haunted High Rise were the two intended for this year. However, with the Krypto DVD potentially coming out, that could mean we could get that film this year given that it's done. I could definitely see them moving to a model of only one Scooby-Doo film a year, especially considering Zaslav thinks that streaming projects aren't as profitable as theatrical films. I would say there is a less than 1% chance of it happening, given the show creators announced back in March that HBO Max was no longer interested in airing the show.

Good to know that they aren't able to release it just in other countries and still get away with a tax write-off here in the US. Hopefully we'll get it around that September date it's coming out in other countries.

I find it highly disappointing that fans may have to wait a period of almost four months, for the movie to be physically released. I really do think this could have beeny released earlierl then that. I think everybody would find it more disappointing if they were never able to legally purchase the film, so we should all be happy that there's a chance that we're getting the film at all IMO.

Of course I am happy that this movie is gettng a DVD release at all. I guess I am just anxious to have a copy of it. Still it doesn't really matter, since I have tons of shows, movies to watch and other things to do life in the meantime Lol.

Regrettably I respectfully disagree about Amazon uk a adding description for the listing of Krypto to meaning anything. The thing is I have seen Amazon add descriptions for several DVD shows in the past, and most of those never really came out on DVD sadly. I hope this dosen't turn out be the case here at any rate I think I would feel better if we got a press release of some kind of WB. I agree that a press release for WB would definitely make things more certain and I don't think it's 100% official yet, but my thinking was moreso just that it would be unlikely for them to add a description for a film that had been scrapped and cancelled. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens and if we get a press release/trailer/date from WB.
