Two days after the final issue of the rebooted series was released, ComicsBeat has announced that Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries is being rebooted for its third iteration. The series will return from its very short hiatus on January 2, 2024 with its first issue. Instead of the 12 issue run both previous iterations of the comic series have had, this time, the series will be ongoing with no planned end date.
A number of plotlines for the series were announced, including teaming up with Nightwing to investigate a circus haunted by Deadman (issue 1), meeting Solomon Grundy in Slaughter Swamp (issue 2), running into Catwoman (issue 3), as well as a bowling museum haunted by a giant, Gotham City citizens turning into gargoyles. Here's the official solicitation for the first issue: Written by SHOLLY FISCH Art and cover by DARIO BRIZUELA $2.99 US | 32 pages ON SALE 1/2/24 A new ongoing series teams up Gotham’s greatest detectives with Crystal Cove’s teen sleuths! The big top’s the place for thrills and chills—even more so when a traveling circus is haunted! But even Scooby and the gang don’t realize just how chilling it is for Nightwing…because this is Haly’s Circus, Dick Grayson’s childhood home! Artists Dario Brizuela and Scott Jeralds, as well as and writers Sholly Fisch, Amanda Deibert, Ivan Cohen and Matthew Cody, will all return to the series. A new writer, J. Torres, and a new artist, Megan Huang, will also be joining the creative team of this series. In an interview with ComicsBeat, Ivan Cohen revealed that the rebooted series will feature more deep cuts from Batman lore, including one issue combining the John Byrne era of Superman and the Tom King era of Batman. It has been confirmed that the new reboot will restart the comic numbering sequence, and will start again on issue 1.

Update 9/14: An additional $32.99 poster of the Legion of Doom has been announced and is available on Target's website.
We've already had more merch for Scooby-Doo and Krypto, Too! than any other film recently, and another piece of merch has just been announced. A premium official movie poster has been released at Target exclusively in two different sizes, medium (14.725 x 22.375") and large (22.375 x 34"). The poster is made by Trends International and features the gang, Krypto and Superman. The poster is quite expensive, with a current list price of $64.99. It is unclear if the price will go down once the item is released. The poster can be pre-ordered now and will be released next Tuesday, September 19. John Stephenson was famous for voicing a number of miscellaneous Hanna-Barbera characters, including 70+ characters and monsters in a number of classic Scooby-Doo episodes from 1969-1985 (and even voiced a few in What's New, Scooby-Doo?) John's last ever role before his death was voicing the sheriff in Scooby-Doo Abracadabra Doo, which is particularly special considering he voiced a number of sheriffs in early episodes of Scooby-Doo.
We started off a tad lighter this week because the Scrappy shorts barely had any ghosts, but the premise of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo automatically qualifies that entire series, which beefed up the poll quite a bit again!

September 3, 2014 is the day this site and blog first went online, so today is the site's 9-year anniversary! To celebrate, I'm excited to announce a special weekly poll series that will be happening over the next two months!
Ghosts are the most common villain in the Scooby franchise, and we've been doing a lot of villain polls lately. However, there are so many ghosts in the franchise that trying to do a single "best ghost" poll would likely explode everybody's brains with the amount of options lol. On another non-Scooby related site I'm a part of, I've been hosting some polls where the options are divided up by decades. This gave me the idea of doing a "ghosts by the decades" poll tournament to celebrate the site's anniversary, Scooby's anniversary month and Halloween. Each week, we'll go in chronological order and vote on the best ghost episode from each of the decades. Since there are only a limited number of ghost episodes from a single year in the 1960s, I've combined it with the 1970s. Even though some decades will be lighter (like the 1990s and 2020s), those will still be their own individual polls, since there is a decent amount of options amongst multiple years and series/films. Some sets will have a ton of options (50+), because there are so many ghost episodes throughout the franchise, including many episodes where the villain is the ghost of something else (i.e. the Ghost of Redbeard, the Ghost of a Werewolf, etc.) Once we've made it through all the decades, we will do a final Winner's Circle round pitting the winning option(s) from each week's poll up against each other, which will determine the best ghost episode in the Scooby-Doo franchise! If there is a tie for the winner, all winning options will advance to the final round. Our Winner's Circle round will happen October 15, and will also mark the 200th weekly poll on the site. I'm really excited to kick off this poll tournament, and I hope you all are excited about this as well! Here are the results from last week's "best skeleton episode" poll: Boo Brothers - 15 A Creepy Tangle in the Bermuda Triangle - 13 The Spooky Fog - 8 El Bandito - 8 Mystery Solvers Club State Finals - 6 The Scary Sky Skeleton - 5 Happy Birthday, Scooby-Doo! - 4 The Legend of the Gold Microphone! - 4 Man in the Mirror - 3 Reluctant Werewolf - 2 Curse of the Collar - 1 The Spirit of Rock 'n' Roll - 1 Night of the Boogey Biker - 0 Gentlemen Start Your Monsters - 0 Some brand new tiny collectible Scooby-Doo figures have been released in retailers nationwide. "Scooby-Doo Tiny Mights" are palm-sized rubber toys that have 12 different collectible characters. Each Tiny Might pack comes with three collectible figures in a Mystery Machine case. There are also some rare collectible glow-in-the-dark and sparkle versions of the figures, and come in six different colors. The 12 collectible figures include Scooby, Shaggy, the Black Knight, Captain Cutler, Miner 49er, Charlie the Robot, the Ghost Clown (called "Harry the Clown" for some reason), Space Kook, Redbeard, Green Ghost, The Creeper and the Witch Doctor. You can now purchase the figures exclusively at Walmart.
