Seven years ago today for the 40th anniversary of Scooby's premiere, fans were treated to a third live action prequel movie, which aired the night of the anniversary on Cartoon Network. Since then, the actors, who were just starting out their careers, are now taking their careers into different and interesting directions. For the 47th anniversary of the premiere of the very first episode of Scooby-Doo, ScoobySnax.com gives you an in-depth look at where these four talented actors are now. Nick Palatas Before: Now: Since 2009, Nick has appeared in several other TV shows, such as Destroy Build Destroy (which included him as Shaggy), True Jackson VP and School of Thrones. Currently, Nick is now 28 and still occasionally acts. However, his brother, Cameron Palatas has had an extremely successful career and is now a famous actor. Cameron has appeared on several hit Disney shows recently such as iCarly, I Didn't Do It, The Haunted Hathaways and A.N.T. Farm. He also was hired by Canadian rapper Drake (who has had nine Top 10 hits worldwide) to help create the music video for his song "Furthest Thing." Hayley Kiyoko Before Now Just by comparing the two pictures above this paragraph you can tell that Hayley has changed a lot since 2009! Almost right after The Mystery Begins and Curse of the Lake Monster, Hayley began getting very serious about her acting career and began appearing in several famous Disney shows, such as Zeke and Luther and got a four-episode recurring role as wizard Stevie Nichols onWizards of Waverly Place. In 2011, Hayley got to star in her first big Disney movie along Bridgit Mendler, entitled Lemonade Mouth (where ironically she also played a shy, nerdy girl like she did with Velma). In 2012, Hayley decided she wanted to move on from children's television, and featured in her first adult movie, Blue Lagoon: The Awakening, which made its television premiere in June 2016. Although Blue Lagoon was a huge hit, Hayley decided in 2013 that she wanted to take a short break from acting in order to further her musical career. On March 12, 2013, Hayley released her debut EP, A Belle to Remember which had very successful sales. 2014 was also another big year for Hayley Kiyoko. Almost right as the year began, Hayley was asked to be on ABC's "The Fosters" for a five-episode recurring role, which was so successful that Hayley gained a main role on the cast in the web reboot of the series. In addition her previous successes, Hayley had her big breakthrough in 2015, when she was asked to be on CSI: Cyber, and starred in several famous movies, including "Insidious Chapter 3" and "Jem & The Holograms." In addition to television, Hayley released another EP entitled "This Side of Paradise," where her two singles "Girls Like Girls" and "Gravel to Tempo" reached the top 150 downloaded songs in the world on the iTunes Pop charts. Even more impressive, Hayley revealed shortly after the EP's release that the whole album was recorded in her parents' garage! More recently, Hayley has starred in the Netflix exclusive "Xoxo," which was released August 26, 2016. Robbie Amell Before After Besides Hayley, Robbie has probably had the next most successful career. After the two live-action Scooby movies, Robbie went on to get leading roles in True Jackson, VP and The Tomorrow People. He also has a recurring role in CBS's hit show "The Flash." In addition, Robbie also has main roles in two upcoming films, "ARQ" and "When We First Met." "ARQ" will be making its Netflix debut this Friday, and "When We First Met" will be in theaters in 2017. He also starred this past year in FOX's revival of the Flash. His cousin, Stephen Amell, is also the main character in the show "Arrow" on CW, which has been on the air since 2012. Since 2008, Robbie has been dating actress Italia Ricci. Recently, the couple have become engaged, but have yet to set a wedding date. Kate Melton Before After Kaitlyn Melton, better known as Kate, is the only actor in the two movies that has not continued to act, at least not for a while after 2010's Curse of the Lake Monster. Kate took a break from acting afterwards, and did not have any documented roles until 2015 in "McMann and Bernstein." She starred in two episodes as Christy. Kate is also a very avid animal lover, and has adopted several rescue dogs.
