For today's poll, I thought it would be fun for Scooby's anniversary to ask what the best year in Scooby history was! This could be perhaps because it's the year your favorite episode came out, the year that the most quality Scooby content was released, or any number of reasons. I honestly have no idea what people are going to choose here, so I'm super excited to see what the results are!
Speaking of results, here are the results from last week's poll: What is your favorite of the two "major" villains within Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated? Freak of Crystal Cove - 44 Evil Entity - 29

All Scooby Years are great. I placed my vote for 2002 because that’s when What’s New Scooby Doo revitalized the franchise.

I honestly can't decide on my choice haha. I'm leaning towards 1998 because that's when Zombie Island revived the franchise, but that's also the only Scooby content we got in that year.

1970 for me. Due to season 2. It took what the cerebral season did, made it more consistent

That's a great point about the chase music! That's become such a huge trope now and it's all because of that season.

Come to think of it, Arabian Nights came out in 1994 so that movie basically started Scooby Doo again.

More like 1998's Zombie Island. You can't say Arabian Nights brought back Scooby when there were more years in a row without Scooby projects after that film's release than there were before its release.

Yah I your pretty much right as people can easily forget Arabian Nights.

Zombie Island is one of my favorites of the 4 that came out after that. Arabian Nights is one that I can still remember watching when it originally aired on TBS. 9/14/2021 02:11:23 pm
Absolutely agreed! Zombie Island is my fave of all four of those films, and one of my favorite Scooby-Doo films of all time. 9/13/2021 10:21:00 am
I'd lean more towards 1998 as well, as there was still a four year lapse in Scooby episodes/films (unless you count Bravo Dooby Doo) between those and Scooby wasn't fully "back" yet.

Perhaps, but I just have a bit more optimistic look at it, I'll still have some criticisms, but in the end, it usually results with me enjoying or really liking. what the franchise have to offer. 9/13/2021 10:28:01 am
I know what you mean. I'm struggling to make a choice as well haha.

Can't decide on that. There's a lot to factor in it.

Hmmm. Almost went with 1998 or 1969 for Zombie Island and the beginning of it all. I went with 2010 actually

I think I'm between 1998 and 2010, but leaning more towards 1998 just because it's led to all the amazing content we've gotten ever since. 2010 was also an amazing year with SDMI, Abracadabra Doo and Camp Scare, plus Curse of the Lake Monster (though the last one wasn't that amazing lol).

Alright, well I said it's 2010 for me. My fav scooby doo movie, Camp scare, new animation introduced to the movies and mystery incorporated released. I don't like the chemistry between the characters, but it has an actual story. 9/13/2021 07:10:14 pm
2010 was definitely one of my favorite years in Scooby history as well!

2002 for me. That's when WNSD started and also the first live action movie was released. I love WNSD and i feel super nostalgia for the 1st live action movie

It's interesting, it seems like a lot of people are picking either 1998, 2002 or 2010. I'm betting those will be the top contenders.

I choose 85 mostly cause that would of been around the time The 13 Ghost of Scooby Doo show came out and I really did enjoy it. Scrappy is the one of my favorite characters and he's who saved the franchise from going under during the early 70's.

You mean late 70s

That's a cool choice! And yeah, he definitely is what kept the franchise going during the late 70s/early 80s and I suppose it's possible we wouldn't even have the Scooby content we do today without him.
