What a Knight for a Knight hands down. After all, that was start of the Scooby Doo franchise. Also it was a amazing and funny episode.

High Rise Hair Raiser. One of the best episodes of the franchise. Happy Birthday, Scooby-Doo is a very close second.

You just know that I have to give my love to HIGH RISE HAIR RAISER! This episode is my all time favorite of the franchise, and I am very happy to see it get some love here in the comments, even though it won’t come close to winning

I'm super happy to see it getting so much love too! While it's not my favorite episode of the franchise, I agree that it's super underrated as an episode.

My favorite premiere is actually Scooby Ghosts West but Shags to Riches and Ghastly Ghost Town are close contenders for me.

I really like Ghastly Ghost Town and A Bicycle Built for Boo as well. Even given how much people hate Get A Clue, I agree Shags to Riches was one of the best Scooby-Doo premieres.

Sticking with my 13 Ghosts theme for this one all the Beast from Below was a very close second.

My favorite is definitely Beware the Beast from Below. It's everything I would want a Scooby premiere to be - it sets up the premise of the series very well, has an amazing villain, there are some great character interactions, and we even got a little tease at the end to the overarching plot!

The Black Knight was a great first villain and I loved everything about this too. It's a very creepy episode and was an amazing way to start off the franchise.

I really enjoyed this one too. The Three Stooges were great guest stars and even though the villains didn't have a huge presence, I enjoyed how the mystery revolved around Velma being missing and the gang trying to find her. Ingagi the monkey was super cute :)

You're right that this episode had an amazingly dark tone and the villains were incredible. I've always loved that spell book scene for how creepy it is while also being a little silly at the same time. Minor friendly correction though, the first time anything supernatural happened in the franchise was "Mystery in Persia" with Jadall the djinn (and the gang being transported to Persia by magic).

You know what your right. I knew I was forgetting one. I was trying to think it was either High Rise or something else that was supernatural earlier in the franchise thanks for correcting me and pointing it out.

Swiss Alps and Toyoko: Seeing other Hannah Barbers characters and Scooby Doo compete in Olympic style like events was pretty fun. The competition could have been a little better, like more innovated.

I would have liked it if there was a little more backstory as to how the events were created or something, or some super special first event to differentiate this as the premiere episode.

The Scarab Lives: I like this episode for adding Scrappy Doo to the franchise. The idea of a comic book character coming to life and haunting his creator was pretty neat. I also like the Blue Scarab as a villain.

This type of idea for an episode was ahead of its time. They should do an episode like this again.

Hound Of The Scooby Villes: It was good to see that they brought back someone from the original mystery gang: Daphne. It was also funny seeing Scrappy Doo get scared by the monster for the first time. This episode was based of Sherlock Holmes novel The Hound of The Baskervailles.

I've always found it super cool how they used plots from old films/books for a lot of the episodes in this series (and the next).

Happy Birthday, Scooby Doo: This episode was really nice. It was centered on a surprise birthday party for Scooby Doo.Fred and Velma came back for this episode. It was cool seeing the whole gang back together. A past mystery resurfacing. The Red Skull was an awesome villain. I like the idea of a villain they unmasked before wanting revenge for foiling his plans. This was also the 15th anniversary of Scooby Doo.

This is definitely in my top 10 Scooby episodes, no question. I wish they would have explored the original Red Skull Curse Case a bit more though. It would have been a super cool premise for an episode! I would love to have an episode (or even a movie!) in the future give us the backstory on that.

To All The Ghouls I’ve Loved Before: This episode was great. Shaggy,Scooby,Scrappy and Daphne flying in a plane to Hawaii and meeting con artist kid Flim Flam, who would later be apart of the gang. Running into another new character, Vincent Van Ghoul. When they open up The Chest of Demons, that set the whole dark tone of the rest of the series.

This episode did an amazing job setting up the series. The scene where Daphne turns into a werewolf was pretty dark! I wish this series would have ended in as good of a way as it began.

A Bicycle Built For Boo: This was a good series premiere. Shaggy’s bike is stolen by The Gloppy Green Ghost and he turns to his friends ( The Scooby Detective Agency) for help. After solving the mystery, they celebrated as if it was there very first mystery. In the next scene, they were at a restaurant having some delicious tasty treats and they were in the newspaper for solving the mystery.

There’s No Creature Like Snow Creature: Giving that this is the first Scooby episode since A Pup Named Scooby Doo, they did a really good job with it. Updated technology in the mystery machine( TV and GPS). They included a Guest Star (Chris Klug). Shaggy making a joke and Scooby laughing and saying I don’t get it a call back to the previous series (A Pup Names Scooby Doo). A mysterious figure walking around. That gave the episode a really creepy vibe. The Snow Creature was pretty cool. I also liked when Fred said it could just be a creep inside and Shaggy pointed out that the monster is in fact transparent. That made it feel like that is was real. Scooby wearing the monster mask and scaring Shaggy at the end of the episode is just like in the older episodes.

This was an amazing episode to start off an amazing series! I hadn't thought about Scooby saying "I don't get it" being a callback to A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, that's super cool! I loved the Snow Creature and Fred breaking his leg was a really interesting premise. I agree the transparency of the monster did make it feel more like a real supernatural threat.

Shags To Riches: This episode was a good start for this series. It was detailed in everything: Shaggy becoming rich, getting his Uncle Albert’s mansion, looking into his Uncle’s disappearance agents of Dr, Phineas Phibes, a mad scientist and enemy of his Uncle Albert. This episode tells us what the series is going to be about from here on out.

I know this series gets a ton of criticism, but I really liked this episode and thought it was one of the better Scooby premieres. It was a nice touch to have Shaggy and Scooby meeting up with Fred, Velma and Daphne to explain what they're doing now that they've split off from the gang.

Beware The Beast From Below: This was an outstanding series premiere. We see the gang’s parents, Mayor Jones, Sheriff Bronson Stone Angel Dynamite and the high school they attend . Velma doing a tour and we hear the story about Crystal Crove and how it got its name. In the museum, we see costumes of villains from Scooby Doo Where Are You. We even see The Luna Ghost from the 2002 movie. Showing all of the gangs relationships with each other. The Slime Mutant was a cool and creepy villain. Seeing people in cacoons was pretty freaky. Daphne finding the locket, Mayor Jones surprised she found it and them getting a call by Mr.E telling them the real mystery has only begun. Scooby saying his catchphrase in a very worried matter.

Mystery 101: The plot of Be Cool Scooby Doo is about the gang after finishing their last year of high school, they want to spend the summer (which could be their last together) having fun but monsters and mayhem get in the way. So in the first episode Velma is going to her interview at Kingston University and she’s a little nervous. Just as she’s nervous, the university might shut down due to the ghost of its founder Elias Kingston is haunting it and scaring away the new students. The vending machine scene was so funny. When they were arguing, they use the puppets in a way to show how they feel for each other and they make up and go to finish solve the mystery. Velma turning down the offer and wanting to learn more from her friends was very sweet. The ending was also funny when Dean Longfellow said she has good friends and wish he had friends and Scooby saying I’m uncomfortable and everyone backing away.

The plot of Be Cool is not about the summer after high school. That idea was only used very early on and was dropped in pre-production. Jon Colton Barry confirmed this.

I loved how this episode kicked off the series by remaking such a classic episode of Where Are You. The humor in this episode is top-notch and it gave us a great idea of what the series was going to be about. Also, yeah, as Becker said, the idea of them spending their last summer after high school solving mysteries was dropped before the series entered production, according to JCB.

Revenge of The Swamp Monster: Scooby Doo and Guess Who is a reboot of The New Scooby Doo Movies. So I was thinking wow that cool and wonder what it would be like. After watching this episode I thought it was good. Chris was a good guest star and there was balance between him, the gang, and the mystery. I also like to think of him as a reference to the Harlem Globtrotters from New Scooby Doo Movies. Especially, when he was playing with the hotdogs like the Globtrotters was playing with their hamburgers and hotdogs in The Lochness Mess. This episode also shows what we were to expect in later episodes. The whole gang say in unison what the guest stars profession is or are and their name. Some of the guest stars knowing a member of the gang and a backstory of how they met. The guest star saying “and now let’s see who this monster really is”.

I didn't love this one as a premiere as much as some others, but it was still a decent episode. The villain was good and I thought Chris was a good guest star, though it did feel like some scenes were rushed, such as the police finding the missing people 5 seconds after the gang caught the swamp monster. This was by no means a bad episode, but you can tell the writers were still trying to get a rhythm for how to writer the series here.
