Really love all 3 episodes. And even though I'd say Vampire Bats would be my favorite episode of these 3, Ghost Ship has the best and most iconic Skull Island, so it gets my vote. 2/7/2021 11:47:04 am
Yeah it was definitely tough for me to pick as well, but I'd have to say "Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats" gets my vote. The episode had such a dark tone, and the island in that episode felt super creepy as a result, so I have to go with that one.

All the skull islands are really cool. The one I settled on is the one in Creepy Case of Old Iron Face because that one has more of a story behind it. This Skull Island is an old abandoned prison where the ghost of a pirate criminal is haunting it. 2/7/2021 11:47:45 am
That would have been my second choice, just because I liked the fact it had a story behind it as well.

Not to say that the Iron Face plot wasn't creepy, but it would have been cool if they'd have saved the underground mansion for another episode. That could have been a genuinely creepy episode if they would have had the gang be chased by some sort of ghost in a haunted mansion under the island.

Agree completely. It felt like a slight waste. It would’ve been a great setting in like a season 2 style episode

I should clarify, I think Iron Face is a good episode (probably one of the better ones of that season) and definitely an iconic villain, but the mansion felt underutilized, at least to me and I felt that that setting would fit in well with an episode from the second season of the Scooby Doo Show, which has a much creepier, darker feel than the other two seasons 2/9/2021 05:41:08 pm
Omg that would have been so amazing if the mansion would have been in a season 2 episode! I kind of wish season 2 wouldn't have been the shortest of the seasons so we could get more super dark episodes.

I completely agree. I would argue that it is already a top 3 season in Scooby Doo history, possibly top 1. But having more episodes like that would have been fantastic

This one has to be Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats of course! I think the dock scene was enough to seal the deal as it was an area beyond the hotel

As far as these episodes go, Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cat is my favorite. As far as which Skull Island is my favorite, it's the one from Go Away Ghost Ship. Second , would be the one from Iron face. 2/10/2021 09:21:41 am
Unfortunately they really don't have much interaction with the island, but I think the hotel could be included as part of the island (which is why I would pick Vampire Bats). Leave a Reply. |
