It's time for the exciting second round of our Best Haunted House polls! Let's check in on our winner from part 1. "The Loch Ness Mess," "The Exterminator" and "The Ghoul, The Bat and the Ugly" all came in last place with one vote each. "The Mystery of Haunted Island" and "Nowhere to Hyde" were not too far behind in fifth place with 5 votes each. "Wednesday Is Missing" was our fourth place choice with 7 votes. For third place, we had a surprising tie between "What the Hex Going On?" and "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner?" Each option got 10 votes, and I have to admit I'm excited "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner?" made it so high! "Haunted House Hang-Up" just barely rose above those options to make second place with 11 votes. Our first place option received 28 votes, and wins the weekly poll for the second week in a row! Our winner is "A Night of Fright Is No Delight," which is the first of three episodes to move on to our final Winner's Circle poll on February 5!

Where’s Sludge Monster from the Earths Core and Weredoo of Doo Manor?

Forgot about "Were-Doo of Doo Manor," and I hadn't considered "The Sludge Monster from the Earth's Core" as a haunted house episode. I would say a haunted dog house would count though, so I'll add it! Thanks!

10. Scooby’s Roots- Easy last place, very forgettable

9. Wedding Bell Boo’s- Best episode here for me, but I don’t even think of it as a haunted house

8. A Night Louse at the White House- Well… I guess the White House being haunted is technically a haunted house… but I still don’t really think of it as a haunted house

7. Sludge Monster From the Earth’s Core- Same as above, just with a doghouse instead

6. The Hand of Horror- I actually quite like this episode and the episode would be higher as a a haunted house episode if it was a bit longer

5. A Bicycle Built For Boo- This crop is SIGNIFICANTLY weaker than the last crop of episodes, to the point where any episode on that poll could stand a chance to win this one. I like the house here, but it isn’t there for very long in the episode

4. Ghost Who’s Coming to Dinner- I guess the top four are a pretty big step up as far as haunted house settings go

3. Bravo Dooby Doo- This would be the one that feels the most like a classic haunted house setting on this list, but it doesn’t make the top two

2. Scoobygeist- Until I started ranking them, I thought this one would win easily. After all, it is a shining example of how to take advantage of a setting in such a short amount of time. But idk, for as good as the episode is, I still think the length hurts it in comparison to number one for me, and I do enjoy the number one more as an episode

1. Were Doo of Doo Manor- Probably not the popular pick, but I really love this episode, and I think Doo Manor is a wonderful setting and haunted house. I will say, if I were to look at this list in an objective sense, I would say Scoobygeist would win, but because this is subjective, give me Were Doo

10. Scooby's Roots - yeah, this is not good.

9. A Night Louse at the White House - nice episode, but doesn't really come to mind as a haunted house.

8. The Sludge Monster from the Earth's Core - this is a cool spin on a haunted house plot. However, it doesn't come to mind as an iconic haunted house like some of the other ones that are in this set.

7. The Hand of Horror - definitely an underrated haunted house episode. Love the creepy vibe and unique villain in this one.

6. Wedding Bell Boo's - love this episode and it's also my favorite one here, but other haunted houses feel more iconic to me.

5. A Bicycle Built for Boo - yeah, I have the same reasoning as you for putting this here. Great haunted house, but it doesn't feel like it's in the episode for very long.

4. Bravo Dooby Doo - amazing haunted house setting given the episode length. I would argue this is a classic.

3. Ghost Who's Coming to Dinner - solid haunted house episode, and it gets bonus points for me for the fake ghost being the evil one, while the actual real ghost is friendly. It's an interesting little spin on the classic Scooby-Doo haunted house plot, and I think it deserves more appreciation than it gets for that.

2. The Were-Doo of Doo Manor - I have to admit, it was close because of how incredible the setting is. I love the twist of Scooby's ancestor being the ghost, and the whole plot of Scooby being cursed to become a Were-Doo is spooky and fun. However, my vote goes to...

1. Scoobygeist - Despite it's short runtime, I think this is an underrated gem in the Scrappy shorts. So many of the Scrappy episodes have a huge issue with pacing due to the 11 minute runtime, but I think this episode does the best job of any of the less-than-22 minute episodes in that era. I like how it borrowed the "multiple ghosts/monsters in one location" element from The New Scooby-Doo Movies (that's one of my favorite tropes from that series). All of the villains were pretty creepy, especially the poltergeists. The episode also had a dark tone to it, and it's pretty incredible that the episode was able to create that given the short runtime it was working with.

Hoping "Scoobygeist" wins the poll, but I'll be super interested to see which option ends up coming out on top this week. This is a much weaker set than the last one and the next one, so I really have no idea what's going to win here.

That one doesn't really come to mind for me as a haunted house episode, but sure, I can add that.

Were- Doo of Doo Manor for me. This episode was just as dark as Curse of The Collar and it also focused on Scooby’s family like the collar episode.

It was tough not voting for that one, because I agree it's such a good episode. I could see this one winning.

Is it bad I remember very few of these aside the pup ones but none of those standout for me. Surprisingly the one that did was The Hand of Horror.

That's fair, other than "A Night Louse at the White House" and Bravo Dooby Doo, they were all Scrappy shorts so it makes sense they'd be forgettable. Yeah, "The Hand of Horror" is a great episode. Definitely one of the underrated Scrappy shorts.

Scoobygeist is a shining gem in the pantheon of 11-minute '80s episodes, so I went with that one. Bravo Dooby Doo in a close second. For some reason no Pup episode comes to mind for standout haunted house settings, probably because the vibe of the show in general doesn't give off the spooky atmosphere you'd expect from haunted house settings.

Yeah, the silly vibe of A Pup Named Scooby-Doo doesn't really make any of the haunted house episodes particularly memorable. I would argue "Ghost Who's Coming to Dinner" is memorable for the interesting story structure where the house is haunted by a real ghost who wants to stop the fake ghost.

My Top 5
5) Scooby's Roots- I'll root for this one a little.
4) Sludge Monster from the Earth's Core - Love the chase song. My third favorite episode of Pup.

1) Brave Dooby Doo -:My second favorite episode in the franchise. I love that Velma is such a big dork in this.

5. Top notch pun there haha.

4. Yeah, the chase song in "The Sludge Monster from the Earth's Core" is really fun.

2. While it's not among my favorites of the entire franchise, "A Fit Night Out for Bats" is my favorite Scrappy short.

A Fit Night Out For Bats:
I enjoyed this short. I liked Sylvester the Vampire as a villain. He was chasing Shaggy and the dogs all over the house so that he can drain their blood and stop drinking tomato juice. I kind felt bad for him though when they escaped and he said back to tomato juice. Them using the giant donuts as spare tires haha.

Weird, I have no idea why this comment wasn't showing up correctly. I fixed it now, though.

Anyway, this is my favorite Scrappy short. Sylvester the Vampire was a really fun villain. Poor guy having to drink tomato juice lol. The donut bit was funny haha.

Scooby’s Roots:
This episode was Meh. The Ghost of Great Grandpa Scooby appearing the the house to scare his son who isn’t brave enough. That’s kind of ridiculous. It was nice that saw how brave his great great grandson Scrappy Doo is.

Scoobygeist:
This episode was short but is definitely one of the best of The New Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo Show. It has such a dark tone to it. Daphne reading the book and everything she reads happens for real. The candles floating, the fire place fiend, the wind blowing, the ghosts under the bed, the animal head stares coming to life, the skeleton appearing and laughing, the stone statue coming to life, the ghost playing the organ, the picture of the ship sinking coming to life. They did a really good job with this episode.

I love this episode and it is my favorite 11-minute episode of the franchise. I really like how dark and creepy the tone of the episode is, and all of the different ghouls the gang runs into is super creepy. I especially like the poltergeists, the ghost playing the organ, and the Fireplace Fiend. This is my favorite of the haunted house episodes in this group.

A Night Louse at the White House:
This was a nice episode. The setting of the White House was an original setting. Velma working at NASA was interesting.

The Ghost of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and Theodore Roosevelt were good villains. I liked the scene were Scooby and Abe’s ghost were playing look alike and saying his oath.

The inclusion of Scooby’s parents in this episode was nice. They saw that he was in trouble and wanted to help him. That was sweet of them. She helped them capture the ghosts. The ambassador and his wife as the culprits were kind of surprising.

The ending was nice with the President having a banquet at the end in honor of Scooby helping with the mystery.

Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy in civil war clothing and marching haha. Shaggy said they got the Spirit of 76. That’s a reference to the TSDS episode The Spirits of 76.

It was cool to have an episode at the White House. It was neat to see Velma working at NASA. I really liked all the different ghosts of past presidents as villains! I liked seeing Scooby's parents and it was fun that they helped capture the ghost. I did not expect the ambassador and his wife to be the culprit either. The ending of the episode was sweet.

The Sludge Monster From The Earths Core:
I liked this episode. It was interesting to see that the inside of Scooby’s Dog house was a big mansion.

The Sludge Monster was a great and original villain. He was so freaky looking. A big eyeball on his chest, a claw on one side and a tentacle on the other side. His face has no eyes.

Seeing the gang solve the mystery in their pajamas was interesting.

I liked that this episode had two different chase scenes. Both chase scenes were really fun.

The scene were the monster was chasing the gang at the house was fun. They wiped their feet so did the monster and then the monster and the rest of the gang told Scooby to shhh after he ate the chip.

Mr. Buckston as the culprit wasn’t really that surprising. After stealing the gold, he wanted to scare Scooby away from his doghouse so that he can hide the gold there.

Mr. Buckston the bank President robbing the bank in this episode reminds me of Mr. Carswell from Jeepers it’s The Creeper who robbed the bank in that episode.

This was a great episode! I like the Doctor Who aspect where Scooby's doghouse is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. The Sludge Monster is one of the coolest villains of the series. I like how grotesque he looked and that he only had one eye. The joke with the chip was funny. I also guessed the culprit pretty easily.

The Were Doo of Doo Manor:
This was a really good episode. This episode had somewhat of a dark tone to it. Shaggy and Scooby trying to find something to watch but end up finding a scary movie all the time. The growls of nasty Doo coming from all those pizza boxes and then he appears. Nasty Doo pretending to be Horton Doo.

Nasty Doo was a great and creepy villain. It was cool that an ancestor of Scooby’s was the villain. He also acted like Scooby saying oboi when getting gifts, and when he said mean either after Shaggy told a joke and Scooby didn’t get it.

The setting of Doo Manor was creepy. The curse of Scooby being turned into a were doo was pretty spooky. It was funny that every time someone says Weredoo, the doo family faints.

I liked Uncle Horton Doo. It’s funny that he’s a mad scientist and that he likes scary things bats, skeletons. He was in a casket. He has a pet monster in his pocket. The monster pulling him in was creepy.

Seeing someone other than the doos ( Gilda Squator) live in the house was interesting.

Professor Digby as the culprit was pretty obvious. He did all that to dig up a leg bone.

Scooby’s parents saying that they are proud of him and he blushes was sweet.

This is a great episode, and it would have gotten my vote if "Scoobygeist" wasn't here. I like how this episode had a dark tone similar to "Curse of the Collar." The opening was kind of unique and a very interesting lead-in to the episode. Nasty Doo was a really creepy villain. It was neat how the villain was Scooby's ancestor, and the curse that went along with it was a very interesting plotline. I also love Doo Manor; it's a great haunted house setting. I really liked Uncle Horton as well and always wondered if he was able to escape the monster that pulled him into his coat haha. Yeah, Gilda Squatter was an interesting character. The ending is pretty adorable.

Bravo Dooby Doo:
I liked this crossover between Scooby Doo and Johnny Bravo. They did a really good job with it. It was also the first episode we had since APNSD ended in 1991. This crossover came out in 1997.

Johnny Bravo was a super funny addition to the gang. He always hits on Daphne, jumping in her arms, she drops him, he try’s to feed her a Scooby snack, she then stomps on his foot. He bumps into Velma and they both lose and try on each others glasses haha. Jinkies is that a breakfast cereal or something haha.

The setting of Aunt Jebidisa’s house was creepy. The Ghostly Gardner was a great villain. Him telling the gang and Johnny to get out and that they are not welcomed here was creepy. I liked that he had garden tools and threaten to attack the gang.

I really liked the chase scene in this episode. It was really funny, fun and long. Shaggy and Johnny were a great pair up.

I liked the plot of them trying to find Johnny’s Aunt Jebidisa.

Fred and Daphne liking each other was heavily hinted in this crossover haha. I also believe this the first time that they are shown to like each other.

When they captured the ghost and they pull of masks of Scooby Doo characters. Professor Hyde Whyte, Harry The Hypnotist, Bigfoot, Don Knotts, Joe Barbera, Johnny asks who’s that haha.

Aunt Jebidisa was the culprit all along. She wanted to scare Johnny away because she dosent like him and think he’s an embarrassment to the family name.

That was pretty harsh of them to tie him up to the tree and just leave him there.

Her wanting to hang out with the gang and liking Shaggy was funny.

Speed Buggy appearing at the end of the episode and giving Johnny a lift was surprising. We even here Scooby music at the end of the episode as it ends.

I thought they did an amazing job with this crossover. Johnny Bravo fit in really nicely with the gang. Aunt Jebidissah's house made a great haunted house setting. I liked the Ghostly Gardener as the villain. Despite the very short runtime, this was a really good episode and they made great use of what little time they had. The mask bit at the end was really funny. It's interesting how Bigfoot was recolored. It was funny that one of the masks was Joe Barbera. I'll admit I did not guess the culprit. Yeah, that was super harsh that they tied him to a tree and left. It was fun that Speed Buggy showed up at the end!
