I've always been impartial to "Pretty Mary Sunlight" myself! But enough of what I think, here's what you all thought for last week's poll:

I agree on Pretty Mary Sunlight, but mostly because I really loved the hook of the Jerry Reed episode where they're trying to find him by chasing him singing the song.

I'd say I like the original version a little better, but yeah, I did like that a lot as a plot point of "The Phantom of the Country Music Hall." Jerry Reed's version was pretty cool!

"Love The World" is perhaps my top favorite from this series with, "Tell Me, Tell Me" and "Recipe For My Love" coming in at a close second and third.

While I like the jaunty flavour of Pretty Mary Sunshine and Seven Days a Week, the sheer weird, out there-ness of Daydreamin' wins, hands down. A Scooby chase song promoting inter-species love with a flightless avian is bizarre enough to shoot it to the top of the list.

Haha I totally agree there! It's so weird that it will always be super memorable, to me and I assume most Scooby fans.

I just had to choose Daydreamin’. When I was younger I paid no intention to the lyrics, but got older and said, “Wait, did he just say It’s fun to be in love with an ostrich? And if you haven’t tried it don’t deny it my friend??”. Haha! The other chase songs are good... but Daydreamin’, that has the best memories of being all “What??” and laughing every time I hear it. So yeah... like you said in your previous reply to Greybishop... definitely the most memorable to this Scooby fan!

I never paid attention to the lyrics as a kid either, which made it all the more amusing when I was older haha.

imagine this, what if someone was able to create a decent cover for these songs, and the songs still had the same feeling the originals have?
