I thought about it, but I decided not to since I'm going to combine all the winning seasons from all of these series polls, and pit them against each other in a final poll; so this will narrow it down a bit.

No worries, you're more than welcome to disagree with one of my rankings. I just found it a bit lackluster compared to the other season 1 villains. I thought it would have been cooler if they would have had a ghost truck driver of some sort, rather than just a truck. I'm glad you enjoyed the ghost truck as a villain, though!

Interesting points. I agree it was well-drawn, and I certainly don't hate it, I just found it not as good as some of the other SDMI villains. I respect both of your opinions, though.

That's kinda how I felt too. If it were in another series, I might have liked it better, but almost all of the rest of SDMI's villains were so amazing, and comparatively this one felt mediocre.

Erm, well, the name was used in jest instead of my usual one which you can still see in some comments when I'm rushing but now it has stuck. Anyway I was just defending my reasons behind why I ranked it so low. In another series it might have scored a little higher but overall in comparison to the other villains of the series I have to be honest and say it's one of the worst.

Yep, totally agreed with all of you. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions, and there's no reason to take personal offense just because somebody else has a different opinion than you. I had previously not responded to this because I'd commented about respecting opinions on the Fun Fact #400 thread.

I will admit the Dandy Highwayman may have a sight bit of a sexist personally and mannerisms and he is not all that scary looking compaired to all the other villains in the show.

Haha yeah, Dandy Highwayman was an awful villain. He's also not particularly scary like you said, but I guess the costume and his accent are somewhat neat.

This show was super tough to rank, and I honestly had no idea which season I was going to vote for until I calculated the averages. Seems like our rankings are really similar, other than you put the Gator People and Gluten Demon much lower than me, and The Freak much higher than me. I really wanted to put The Freak higher, but the major quality dropoff between "Pawn of Shadows" and "All Fear the Freak" ruined him for me a bit. He was still a decent villain, but the fact that he went from whispering creepy riddles and holding a knife to basically just grunting and saying half-coherent things brought him down from "Incredible" to "Good," at least IMO.

The Gluten Demon was ridiculous, but it was hilariously ridiculous to me which is why it got it's "great" ranking haha. It was pretty funny how the Gator People designed costumes that looked exactly how they did in real life lol. It's funny though, I first watched the episode as it premiered on Cartoon Network. I'd read a (fake) rumor online that all the monsters in the series were real, so I assumed that they were like the gator-equivalents of werewolves (were-gators? haha), thus making them scarier to me because I thought they had transformed into real supernatural creatures lol. That's probably influenced my opinion on them in future watches, admittedly.

Nice rankings! I agree with all of them other than the Dandy Highwayman. I hadn't thought about it before, but I can sort of see how the Rock Monster's face looks structurally similar to Professor Pericles.

This was really hard to pick, but I went with season 1. I honestly don’t know the reason why lol. It might be for nostalgia reasons, I don’t know. Both seasons had interesting villains, though I wasn’t a fan of the Crybaby Clown and the Dandy Highwayman. 5/15/2022 07:45:35 am
