Absolutely agreed. "Revenge of the Swamp Monster" felt kinda rushed to me.

I forgot Revenge of the Swamp Monster was even a golf episode. Yeah... I'll go with Metallic Clown here.

That sports are awful option is tradition in these polls now lol

Revenge of the Swamp Monster is my 2nd favorite episode of Guess Who so I will go with that one.
I do like the role reversal of Shaggy and Velma in Metallic Clown even though it felt faux and a little forced.

We seem to have the opposite opinion. "Revenge of the Swamp Monster" ranks 35th for me, due to certain elements feeling forced. The nostalgia in the episode felt a bit fake to me, and the whole "all of the missing players have been found by the police!" five seconds after the unmasking felt unrealistic and like sloppy writing. There's no way they found every single person a few moments after they caught the person. On the other hand, Shaggy and Velma's role reversal in Metallic Clown was a fun plotline to me and didn't feel forced at all. Interesting to hear differing opinions on this!

I’m actually not too huge on either of them. Revenge of the Swamp Monsters was both disappointing and forgettable as a series opener, and TRWAMMC felt like it was way too gimmicky and too much of a novelty episode. Novelty episodes that are done right imo would be A Scooby Doo Valentine and E-Scream

With that being said, I do prefer one of them to the other, that being TRWAMMC. I thought the setting was way cooler and I still wouldn’t say it is a BAD episode even if it does feel too gimmicky for my taste

Interesting, I didn't mind the novelty feeling of "A Terrifying Round with a Menacing Metallic Clown." I certainly wouldn't want it in every episode, but it was fun to have Shaggy and Velma switch roles for an episode. I do agree with you though that "E-Scream" and "A Scooby-Doo Valentine" are more enjoyable novelty episodes. "Revenge of the Swamp Monster!" on the other hand did indeed feel very forgettable and not at all like a series opener, so choosing "A Terrifying Round with a Menacing Metallic Clown" was an easy choice for me.

Me too! It was such a fun episode and the little switch-up in character roles was fun. I liked the flashback in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo animation as well.

A Terrifying Round With A Meaning Metallic Clown:
This was a really fun episode. I like the idea of Shaggy competing in a golf tournament. I enjoyed the sequence of him, Cougar, and Miranda playing golf.

I liked that Cougar Forest is a parody of real life celebrity golfer Tiger Woods.

It was super interesting that Shaggy and Velma swap roles in this episode. Shaggy being determined to solve the mystery and acting all smart and brave so that he can win the tournament. Velma having a fear of clowns and becoming a scaredy cat and to afraid to solve the mystery.

It was so cool that the flashback was a homage to the predecessor series A Pup Named Scooby Doo when the gang where kids at Velma’s birthday party.

The Menacing Metallic Clown was a great and creepy villain. How he was eating golfers and laughing maniacally.

I liked that Velma conquered her fear of clowns by hitting the metallic clown with a golf club after he ate Shaggy.

Mayor Smith being proud of his son Gary despite everything that has happened to him with mini golf.

I liked the ending with Shaggy winning the tournament and putting his ball in the Scooby obstacle and his catchphrase was said.

I've always found this to be a very unique episode and I love it for that reason. It was fun to see Velma and Shaggy's personalities be switched. I thought the clown was a super creepy villain! I also loved the flashback being a homage to A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. I thought that was such a nice touch to add to this episode! The ending was very heartwarming, with Velma overcoming her fear of clowns and Mayor Smith being proud of his son despite his shortcomings. This was such a fun little novelty episode of What's New!

Revenge of The Swamp Monster:
I thought this was a good episode. I will always appreciate this episode starting off with a guest star that i actually know. I enjoyed Chris Paul a guest star. I like the backstory between him and Shaggy with the pizza haha.

Chris Paul playing with hot dogs is just like how the Globetrotters were playing with hamburgers and hot dogs in The LochNess Mess.

It was cool seeing the gang and Chris Paul in scuba diving outfits from A Clue for Scooby Doo.

Shaggy expressing golfing skills in this episode is like a connection to A Terrifying Round With A Menacing Metallic Clown.

The Swamp Monster was a good villain and I thought the mystery itself was good.

The ending was funny with Chris Paul keeping missing an easy hole and finally made it saying “It’s good”.

I actually didn't know much about Chris Paul before this episode, but I did think he was a good guest star. It was interesting how they had the continuity of Shaggy being a good golfer from "A Terrifying Round with a Menacing Metallic Clown." I liked the Swamp Monster as a villain. The ending where they find the missing people within 5 seconds of the unmasking has always come off as kinda dumb/forced to me. Overall this was a pretty average episode. Not one of the best of Guess Who, but it wasn't bad either.

That's fair! I particularly like "A Terrifying Round with a Menacing Metallic Clown," but I don't really care about "Revenge of the Swamp Monster!" It's not bad, it's just kinda there IMO.

I love that your doing sport polls. What’s left is racing, wrestling, track and field and you can probably do a poll like this what’s your favorite single sport episode.

Episodes that have one particular sport episode ( The Warlock of Wimbledon is the only Tennis episode, Diamonds Are A Ghouls Best Friend is the only Hockey episode Scooby Doo Ghastly Goals is the only Soccer episode, and The Crown Jewel of Boxing is the only Boxing episode.

Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying them! Yeah, I was thinking about combining all the single sports like hockey, tennis, soccer, and boxing into one single poll. I also was thinking of having all the winners of these sports polls go up against each other in one final poll to decide the best sports episode overall.
