 While this isn't necessarily Scooby news, given the franchise's upcoming crossover with Courage the Cowardly Dog, I thought it was important to share. Thea White, the voice actress for Muriel passed away on Friday, July 30 at 11:05am according to ComicBook.com. No cause of death has been announced, but many are assuming that it was related to a surgery that she had on Wednesday.
Hopefully Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog will be dedicated to her, given it was her final role. RIP Thea!

Man this is very depressing news. Hopefully they do honor her in the end credits. RIP Thea White.

It's nice in a way that this long-awaited crossover is coming out when it is so that they can (hopefully) dedicate the film to her, given she cared so much about her role as Muriel.

This just hurt. She loved playing Muriel. The Scooby Doo team could've easily replaced her in the Scooby/Courage crossover, but they knew no one can do Muriel like Thea White. I'm glad she got to play the character she loved one last time. 8/1/2021 05:59:36 pm
It is a really nice thought that she got one last chance to play this role that she cared so much before she passed. I really hope they dedicate the film to her.

I am currently finishing the third season of Courage and I have to say, hearing her voice now is sad. ;( RIP Mrs. White. I really hope the film is dedicated to her, but for all we know, the DVDs might have already been made, so they can't edit the credits. We'll see. 8/1/2021 05:59:59 pm
