*IMPORTANT UPDATE* The Title Of The Next Scooby Series Has Been Revealed!

Important update: Gaby Falcone has deleted her tweet stating this, meaning the info was possibly incorrect or simply an Internet rumor which was passed along. This means the new series may not be called "Scooby-Doo! Guess Who?" and the picture above could be an unrelated project. Stay tuned for more updates as they come, and apologies for the mistake!

Despite the fact that "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!" still has its entire Season 2 unaired in the US, it seems that we already have the title for the next Scooby-Doo series thanks to a tweet by Gaby Falcone. Though it is very tough to see, Scooby-Doom did some great detective work and found a script below Frank Welker, which clearly reads "Scooby-Doo! Guess Who?" A close-up of the script is shown below.

The new series will feature regulars Matthew Lillard, Frank Welker, Grey Griffin, and Kate Micucci, who is in her second series as Velma. Candi Milo, Josh Keaton, Billy West and previously announced guest Kevin Conroy are also in the photo, meaning it is possible they may appear in the series as well.

Thanks to @TheScoobyDoom for letting us know about this!

I smell crossover series... Like the New SD Movies. You think they're adapting the Team-Up comics into episodes?

That's what I'm hoping! :)

This more or less will be a rhetorical question for some but why does Boomerang and or Cartoon Network play around with the later incarnations of the Scooby-Doo series? The "Be Cool, Scooby Doo" series, for example, airs for 20 episodes and then it vanishes from Cartoon Network only to be picked up by Boomerang for it's final 6 episodes of Season One...and then the second season isn't even broadcast on any television station in the United States at all in spite of the fact that episodes are available (and have aired overseas). I just don't understand why the cable channels that order the series don't air all available episodes.

There actually is somewhat of a non-rhetorical answer for this. (Sorry in advance for the long comment that's likely to ensue with this explanation)

I agree that it's unfair that "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!" 's second season was dumped on to the streaming service. This is totally just my opinion, but it seems a bit offensive to the fans for Cartoon Network/Boomerang to say "Hey, you know those episodes we're too lazy to air for free on our own network? Guess what, now you can PAY to watch them! Won't that be amazing?" Which is more or less why I haven't signed up for the streaming service. Well that and the fact that most episodes which are on the service are already on DVDs which I've bought.

This explanation is partly my interpretation of what BCSD head writer Jon Colton Barry has said on the ScoobyAddicts forum (which on an unrelated note I'm one of the admins for under the username Doo). So basically, there are in-house shows and there are out-of-house shows. In-house shows are made by Cartoon Network Studios, so thus CN receives all the money from any ads which are shown during the show. Conversely, out-of-house shows are ones which are made by other studios, and thus CN has to to pay a fraction of the advertising revenue to the studio which the show originated from. This may be obvious, but that essentially amounts to CN wanting to air more in-house shows rather than out-of-house shows, so they can keep all the advertising money and don't have to pay extra to other studios. "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!" is an out-of-house show, as it is made by WB Studios (this is where it gets slightly complicated, as WB owns CN, but CN doesn't own WB, thus CN is essentially paying the fraction of the out-of-house ad money to the division of WB which makes BCSD). Cartoon Network wants to pay as little money as possible to outside sources so they air and promote more in-house shows (that's why you see "Teen Titans Go" on practically 24/7, as it's an in-house show). As with most huge media channels and corporations, they are of course going to put money first, and thus they're going to do more to promote the in-house shows and leave the remaining space for out-of-house shows. This leads to the poor promotion and constant timeslot switching which you saw for the 20 episodes they actually did air of BCSD. Same for "Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated."

However, it's actually not entirely CN/Boomerang's fault. Some of the issue comes from the WB Studios end of things, and their poor handling of the show. The same head writer of BCSD, Jon Colton Barry, has shared that WB would constantly give him and the producer, Zac Moncrief, unreasonable deadlines (fun fact: WB forced them to write the first three episodes in under two weeks, after they scrapped their original completed storyboards). WB also messed with Jon's writing, in some cases completely rewriting episodes without his permission, until they were "ruined beyond repair" (an actual quote from him). The delay of the second season airing in other countries is because WB still wasn't done (due to their rewrites) producing and creating many of the episodes until early 2017 (if you watch some of the newer episodes which have become available in the past few weeks, you'll see the year "2017" at the very end of the credits, meaning the episodes were not finished until early 2017).

So in essence it's a way bigger problem than any of us thought. Production problems on the WB end and promotion and airing problems on CN's end leads to a big disaster on both ends. If you're interested, you can read more in depth about how much WB did to screw things on the ScoobyAddicts forum (and there is a lot). The head writer who I've referred to a couple times in this comment frequents the forum under the username JCB and has given some interesting insights into how WB specifically changed some of the episodes last minute versus what they were supposed to look like.

Hope that explains things without being too confusing, and apologies again for the gigantic wall-of-text explanation lol.
