Some screenshots from Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too! have been posted on the Digital eMation Inc. homepage! The site shows that Scooby-Doo Meets Krypto (note the different title) was in production in 2021. Some characters including The Joker, Harley Quinn, Superman, and it appears many others as well. The villain appears to be Solomon Grundy, and he appears in both screenshots. Given this info, I'm really hopeful we'll still get this film!

Thanks to Scoobylover for finding this info!

Awesome find!

I think the "hulking goblin like creature" you're talking about must be Solomon Grundy unless I read that wrong.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon_Grundy_(character)

And the second image has characters from the "Legion of Super-Heroes" TV Series! It seems like this was another one of those multi-verse like things, since the first image looks like something out of the classic "Super Friends", and Krypto might have been the version from how own show.

I really, really hope this will be released eventually.

I'm not as familiar with the DC universe as I am with Marvel, but now that you say it, it does look like him! Thanks! I just corrected the post.

That's really cool they're including all of these different superheroes from Super Friends! I hope they put this out because I feel like people are going to love this.

I guess this could be the first time Grundy shows up in a Scooby project (not counting comics since I haven't read those so I am not sure), don't think he even had a cameo in the cross-over movie with Batman The Brave & The Bold.

I haven't kept up with some of the Scooby comics either so I'm not sure if Grundy appears, but he didn't in any of the Team Ups I read, and he wasn't in Brave and the Bold.

While it is hard to tell because the screenshots are blurry, it doesn’t look like the typical DTV style or even the Guess Who? style so that is interesting…

Regardless, I’m excited to see this whenever it eventually comes out!

To me it looks like the 2010s DTV style.

I tried expanding them, but sadly that just made them more blurry, thus why they're the size they are. It looks kinda like 2010s DTV style to me too.

My biggest thing with it not looking like the 2010s style is because of how much lighter Daphne’s skin tone is portrayed in these images, although now I am wondering upon closer examination if that is not Daphne at all! But if it is, she seems to have been given her Cyber Chase color palette in regards to her hair and skin.

WildwindVampire link
9/5/2022 10:39:14 pm

I was also wondering whether or not that was Daphne! Her hair appears to be a different shade than normal, and like you said, her skin tone appears to be more like it was in Cyber Chase. I'm not super familiar with all the less popular superheroes in the DC universe, so I'm wondering if it's maybe a different character from that universe? Idk.

@Gibby that's not Daphne, that's Giganta, a DC villain (from Wonder Woman's roster).
What you can actually see in the top image though Shaggy and Scooby dressed up as superheroes in the background between Joker and Giganta's leg. Despite being blurry they look exactly like their 2010s DTV designs from everything we can see of them.

Actually you can see Shaggy and Scooby in both images! In the bottom one they're in the center running away from Solomon Grundy.

Interesting… I’m curious to see what the animation style is like with more to base it off of

Oh oops, I missed this comment, but I looked it up and you're right! It looks exactly like her. That's really interesting, I wonder if this film is going to have a huge lineup of villains. So far, it seems we have Joker, Solomon Grundy, Harley Quinn and Giganta.

I guess this means the guess who animation style is only for Trick or Treat and their going to back to the 2010s animation style.

I think it's also possible that this was made before Trick or Treat. This was announced in June 2021, whereas Trick or Treat was announced in August 2021, and the announcement we got was a call for crewmembers to work on the show. If Krypto started production around June 2021, that would mean it was made before Trick or Treat.

Oh yah I forgot that the announcement for the Krypto movie came out before Trick or Treat. Thanks for the correction.

I have to imagine it's gonna come out at some point if Digital eMation suddenly released shots from the film. I mean, surely? They didn't say it's been cancelled. It just says it was in production in 2021, which implies it's been in post-production this year, so likely to come out in less than a year from now. Also looks like the 2010s DTV style to me.

I would certainly think they would too, unless somehow it just leaked out before (mustache twirling) Zaslav gave it the axe haha. I don't think that's what happened though, since you're right it would be odd for them to release screenshots of a film that's never coming out.

I went onto the digital emation site before and saw these images but I never noticed shaggy and scooby in the background and just assumed these images were just place holders. That being said looking at the images again they look so random.

This is company is responsible for a bunch of the DTV animation. So this is most likely that style of 2010. That out of the way, their portfolio showcases the movies they produce one year before they actually release. Happy Halloween, labeled Jack-O-Pocaliypse is in 2019 etc with Courage and “King Arthur” being in 2020. By default we should have gotten (meaning canceled) or will be getting the film this year. The usual release is 77 days in between movie and trailer, the final date we could get a trailer before the end of the year…that is if it’s going on promotion schedule…would be the week of Oct 10th-15th. Promotion for ScoobTober maybe? Which would give us a December release. And could very well be placed there due to the fact of the removal of Holiday Haunt to fit the 2 movies a year. That being said, hope it wasn’t canceled.

Just because it happened a couple times with Happy Halloween and Sword and the Scoob doesn't mean that's the rule every single time. It can just as easily release next year, doesn't mean cancelled.

Looking at the number next to the project (ex. Dtv21) it seems to be 2-3 years

That’s the production number of Scooby DTV. Abracadabra-Doo in 2009 was labeled DTV 1

I wasn't aware that 21 meant the DTV number, I also assumed it meant 2021. Thanks for the correction.

I presume they'll have the Legion of Doom team-up. Villains in the first image include Joker, Harley Quinn, Grundy, Giganta and General Zod (and I am guessing those are Ursa and Non next to him); I mean the 3 folks in the middle dressed in black.

I can't really make out much from the background in the 2nd image other than Grundy but in the front there's Superman X, Triplicate Girl, Chameleon Boy, Timber Wolf and Superman, from left to right, all with designs pretty much from the 2006 animated series. I think that's at least Cosmic Boy in the next row, next to Triplicate Girl given the purple outfit.

Forgot to mention, it does feel weird they're squeezing all this stuff into a movie where they're supposed to feature the Super-Pets. They had their own animal villains on the show.

I don't think this is necessarily a Super Pets film like that theatrical one, because the only super pet that we've known was in this is Krypto.

That would be cool! The gang fought them in an issue of Scooby-Doo! Team Up, so it will be interesting to see if this is done in a similar way.

That appears to be the Flash’s treadmill! We are officially getting a canon time travel movie. Unless of course Superman is an actor.

They have since removed the listing from their portfolio. Someone got in trouble with WB.

It seems like that's happened quite a bit with these films and WB. First with Courage getting removed from TCM's site, then the initial Krypto getting removed from Annie De Brock's resumé, and now this. WB must not want any info to leak about the film yet.

I feel like they are a bit too late giving the fact that screenshots have been shared around by now

WildwindVampire link
9/8/2022 05:05:50 pm

That's true, I imagine it's just damage control at this point, since they're embarrassed something leaked before they wanted to announce it, so they had the person delete it so the leak couldn't be traced back to anyone at WB. At least, that's my theory.
