I'm not usually a fan of hybrid style specials, but I'm hoping this is done well.

There are a lot of great hybrid productions, classics like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, underrated stuff like Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and an example of it being done right with Scooby – The Scooby-Doo Project. I find hybrid very interesting and unique in the industry.

I haven't seen Looney Tunes: Back in Action, but I do love Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. There are definitely instances of it being done well, I just feel in general, it tends to be done in a way that can be a bit cringey. That's just my opinion, though, and I know it's probably an unpopular one.

It looks very much like The Scooby-Doo Project with a higher budget. It's gonna be interesting to see the special play out because there's interviews along with a story. It's gonna be strange and interesting.

I hadn't thought about it like that, but you're totally right it's basically going to be a longer, higher budget version of The Scooby-Doo Project. I'm especially interested to see how they work in the guest stars now!

Thank you so much! :) I just replaced the other SD promo with your link in the post!

Also, random, but I sent you an email through the Yahoo one you have listed on ScoobyAddicts about something I wanted to share with you. Is that address still valid? I've had a little trouble logging into Twitter lately, but I have some info I wanted to share with you, so let me know where the best place to do that might be! Thanks! :)

This looks interesting i'm not upset about the fact that the gang aren't older because I knew they weren't going to do it anyway I just thought it was a interesting idea but honestly I don't think I would want an elderly gang anyway. I'm wondering why it's airing on the CW is it going to be more adult? Are the gang going to swear? Are they going to touch on some fan theories like shaggy being a stoner and fred and daphne doing it in the bedroom etc?. The fact that this is a live action animation hybrid is interesting since they haven't really do that in a while.

It's being written by Warner Unscripted, and they usually make stuff that's a bit more adult, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some more mature stuff in there. I hope it's not just playing on those stereotypes, though.

Yeah I'm not expecting it to be as bloody as scoobynatural but I expect the gang or the celebrities or even both to spout some swear words not constantly but maybe hear and there.

I can definitely see that happening.

I feel bad for all of you in the UK and other countries that WB hasn't come up with a more consistent way for you to get content there that isn't Boomerang/Cartoon Network. I hope they're able to find somewhere to air this type of stuff, especially given it seems to be becoming a trend with stuff like Scoobynatural, Velma, and this reunion special.

If I were WB, I'd throw in a workout spinoff for Daphne 💜

I expected CW to post the promo a week before release date since that's what they usually do.

I more meant that it was odd they didn't just upload it when they started airing the promo on TV a week ago.

I can't wait to see this! Scooby Doo going on for more than 50 years is definitely something to celebrate! I really hope they reveal some things we didn't know.

I wanted to point out a mistake that Warner made in the Blu release of The New Scooby-Doo Movies with the series title card.

In season 1 it has 1972 underneath, while season 2 has 1973. But for the Blu release, Warner kept the 1972 throughout the entire seires.

I didn't check every episode of season 2, I think I checked at least half, and every time I looked, I saw 1972.

That's bizarre...I assume you're talking about the title card in the intro of each episode on the Blu-Ray. Maybe they just used the season 1 title card for every episode for some reason? I have no idea why they'd do that, though.

It's not that I'm not excited, it's just I hope this is meaningful, if you know what I mean.

Not, just WB using Scooby to pat themselves on the back for not actually doing anything worth it. Because we have seen this style before in The Scooby-Doo Project, they're not exactly doing anything new. Plus, this is something they should've done for the FIFIETH Anniversary.

Yeah, I totally get what you're saying and I wish they would have done this for the 50th anniversary too. It would have been much better than the two DTVs we did get haha.

It feels like a combination of Scooby Goes Hollywood and that Halifax commercial from 2017 haha

It does to me too! It feels like a combination of The Scooby-Doo Project and Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood (and to an extent, that 2017 Halifax commercial as well haha).
