Those of us who were bummed when SCOOB! was pulled from theaters due to the COVID-19 pandemic are finally getting our wish this weekend. It appears that SCOOB! is popping up in many people's local theatrical listings for this coming weekend (May 21-23) in the United States, now that the mask mandates have for the most part been lifted. There will be limited showings for this weekend only, and this is only happening in select theaters, so be sure to check your local listings to see if you can finally see SCOOB! in a theater!

Yeah, I get why people might be cynical about it, but I think the reality is they did the best they could with the pandemic limitations. No one's going to want to go to a crowded theater during COVID, so I think they actually did pretty amazing with putting it out for a weekend almost immediately after the CDC changed our mask guidelines.

I doubt any Scooby Fans will go as they've probably seen it online like most of us have.

I think you are right it's a good thing the mask mandates have been lifited for the most part. but it's let's be honest here this this been out on streaming and home media for almost a year now. so I think only die hard fans will go to see it in the theaters. and it will be playing at select theaters only.

There are several that have posted on Twitter that are going, but I think you're certainly right that the theaters aren't going to be flooded or anything. I get the "let's all crap on WB" mentality because I've been frustrated with them too for their poor promotion of Scooby shows, but personally I'm glad they put it out for those who want to see it in theaters even if it was just for short time.

It's definitely a different experience seeing a film in a theater as opposed to your own living room, so I hope this gives the people who want to see in theaters the experience they had wanted last year.

Nice for those that want it, can see why they did it, not for me, personally I'd go if they paired it with like Zombie Island as a double feature, otherwise nah, granted I'm now in a smaller town that's likely not even showing it so it's all academic for me. (Though I will get grumpy once I can't go to the rifftrax live showings, but that's a different issue)

Have you never heard of a double feature before? 5/19/2021 09:05:10 am
Pairing it with Zombie Island for a double feature would be super cool! (Honestly, pairing any movie with Zombie Island for a theatrical double feature would be cool haha).

Agreed, would love to see that one theatrical, but would have to be with something depending on theater prices cause it is a bit short as a feature. 5/19/2021 01:18:23 pm
Yeah, I suppose it only is 77 minutes. Honestly I would go see Zombie Island even if it was stand-alone just for the experience of seeing it in a theater.

With me it depends, I saw space jam in theaters when they did the 20th anniversary showing, but for something like scooby it'd have to be a double feature just to deal with all the kids in theaters now, a lot where I was from would have their phones out or be loud and the theater experience is just no longer great. 5/19/2021 02:04:56 pm
I still have yet to see Space Jam! I need to check it out one of these days though, as several friends have raved over it and recommended it to me.

If they gave me a movie theater double feature of Zombie Island and Witch's Ghost along with one of Alien Invaders and Camp Scare another night I'd be a very happy camper 5/19/2021 02:46:36 pm
That would be amazing! Or maybe even a quadruple feature of all the Zombie Island era films?

Yes having Cyber Chase would definitely be far more likely than Camp Scare to be put in theaters for a feature, but I also think Camp Scare would be an outstanding theater experience because of its similarities to slasher films and such

That's a great point. Oddly, among the general fandom, it seems like Camp Scare isn't seen as quite as "mature" or "scary" as Zombie Island, but it's definitely close to the level of maturity and PG-13ish-ness that Zombie Island brought to the table, just with different characterizations of the gang.

Exactly! It is a more classic Scooby Doo approach to a dark horror movie. While Zombie Island has become my very favorite, Camp Scare fills that role for a more traditional mystery/ Probably why those are my two favorites. Witch's Ghost also gets there in the maturity category 5/20/2021 10:56:51 am
I'd actually say that I like Witch's Ghost a little better just because of the mature feel, but Camp Scare is definitely among my top films.

For the time being we won't be getting any episodes from amazon sinced the uploaders tool does not work. and he is unable to download anything from there, the thing to bear in mind is this. Most streaming sites have a habbit, of changing their protection once in while and when this happens uploaders are forced to crack it again.

I didn't realize it was an issue of not being able to download from Amazon (which I probably just misinterpreted), I thought it was just an issue on his end with the software not functioning or something. In that case, yeah, I think we might end up having to wait a while for an episode. That's a real bummer.

The saddest part is I that I doubt season 2 of guess who will ever get a complete season release on home media. for some reason it seems to be problematic to release shows in which the guest characters play themselves rather then playing a different character.in it.

I hope we get a season 2 DVD and it's not a similar situation to what happened with Be Cool (where they only released the first season).

I don’t mind waiting a bit longer. These things take time. I’ll just wait until it’s uploaded on Kimcartoon if anything. Episodes that air on Canada Teletoon have been showing up on Kimcartoon.

I think Kimcartoon may have been getting their files from this Arian guy, but I don't know for sure.

The Canada Teletoon episodes come from Amazon prime Canada despite the fact they are watermarked with the Teletoon logo those are not tv rips. I don't know why streaming sites sometimes watermark episodes but unfortunately they sometimes do. it certainly seems to be a strange thing do thought.

when Shaggy asks for water in Scared A Lot In Camelot it is a reference to when he asked for mustard in Hassle In The Castle
