Despite airing in 2003, "The San Franpsycho" is the only What's New, Scooby-Doo? season 2 episode to have a 2002 production date. Thanks to James for catching this neat little trivia tidbit!

The San Franpsycho:
This was a pretty good episode. The San Franpsycho was the best part of the episode. He was cool, creepy and menacing. He had a hook for a hand and was covered in seaweed.

Ryan Sheckler was a good star. Julian Lubris was funny with his constant use of telling facts. Haze and his red person troop were funny. It was also funny that Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby got cover in paint and had to pretend to be part of his troop.

The magnetic helmet was an interesting use of a trap. It was funny when Fred attracted those phones and the women was talking it.

The motive was kind of ridiculous. Rutie wanted revenge for not being allowed to skateboard because she thought girls weren’t allowed. That’s a lie, she attacked a female skateboarder. She just wasn’t good at skateboarding.

In the end, Grinds Games continued with Ryan Sheckler skateboarding and the gang were judges. Scooby’s card said Doo haha.

The San Franpsycho was an incredible villain. He looked so creepy! I liked Ryan Sheckler as a guest star. The trap was super inventive! Yeah, the motive was a bit silly haha. The ending was cute.

This is a really cool fun fact! Also in your opinion what is your favorite and least favorite guest star of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? My favorite guest star was Blue Falcon and Dynomutt and my least favorite guest star is Ricky Gervais.

Thanks! My favorite guest star was the Hex Girls, with Reverend Run being a close second. My least favorites were the Funky Phantom gang, and then Ricky Gervais second. I didn't like how Ricky felt like he dominated the episode.

And this here is one the big reasons Guess Who failed. A lot of liking the episodes falls on who the guest star is and whether you know them. As a Brit I really enjoyed Ricky Gervais!

Absolutely agreed. It's the main reason I didn't like the Jim Gaffigan episode either. It felt like he fell flat as a guest star, and that made the episode not work.

If my memory serves well, I'm pretty sure this episode falls into the category of "Unimportant person kidnapped by villain at the start and we never find out what happens to them."
