It's Valentine's Day, but why talk about love when we could be talking about Don Knotts? Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights is the only video game role Don Knotts ever had in his entire acting career, despite the fact that he voice acted in many other animated films and TV shows.

Thanks to John Locke for coming up with this week's fun fact!

it was so odd, but nice that he was willing to keep coming back to scooby, though does make it weirder that the guy that was "totally not" Don Knotts in 'Toy Scary Boo' wasn't voiced by him, though that guy was the villain and maybe he objected to that...

Also love that you found a pairing for this and Valentine's, though it could also work great in May or June(berry)

It is indeed very strange he wasn't in that episode, especially given it was the same year Night of 100 Frights came out. Also, I think you meant to say "the guy who was totally KNOTT Don Knotts" lol.

Hahaha I didn't even think of that. Requests are now open for anyone who wants to suggest a Don Knotts fact in May or June lol.

Glancing at the comment below (you know the one) I'm not gonna do any "Knott" puns, also not sure I'm gonna look for any fun facts as that might encourage a return.

That was certainly an interesting comment to wake up to this morning hahaha. A quick count shows there were somehow 24 Knotts puns in that comment alone lol.

I can Knott think of a better topic than DON KNOTTS. Since he seems to come around here often, maybe he will see this and pop in

Did somebody call me? Anytime I hear my name, DON KNOTTS, I am instantly summoned! Knotts is all powerful! At first I was Knott too sure about this blog. No one answered me when I asked how people liked my episode, and that was Knott very nice of them! But after the Don Knotts Week last year, now I see how much the people here appreciate me, DON KNOTTS. Since you all like fun facts, let me give you a little history on me.

It all started back in KNOTT-teen twenty four when I was born in Pennsylvania. I had a very nice childhood with loving family, except my father, that crazy no-good-nick! Anyway, I graduated from high school and joined the army. Serving in World War II was KNOTT very fun! But then the war was over, and I went to college. I was kind of a KNOTThead at first, out causin' shenanigans of all sorts and KNOTT paying attention to my studies. That did KNOTT last forever, and I started puttin' real effort into my studies, cuz learning is important, and do KNOTT let anyone tell you otherwise! I was a ventriloquist and a comedian that whole time, even while I was entertaining the troops. You see, they were KNOTT too happy on account of all the shootin' and the killin' that was happening, but I turned their frowns upside down. Yes-sir-ee, you'd better believe it, or my name isn't DON KNOTTS! But that's KNOTT all! I was awarded 5 medals, 4 service stars, a badge, and even a lapel pin! Then, after the war, I figured it was time to settle down with a special lady. That woman's name was Kay Metz, and man, was she a KNOTT-out...I mean, a knockout! Wowee! We moved back to New York together and I hit my big break on Steve Allen's variety show in 1955. After that, I was in a play. Did you know that I appeared for the first time as Andy Griffith in that play? Because I sure did! Then I joined the Andy Griffith Show and played Barney Fife, one of my favorite roles ever! You're KNOTT gonna believe this, but I won five Emmy awards for that role! At first, my character was supposed to be the serious one, but then, they realized they could KNOTT do without my comedy! I was funnier than a cat playin' a piano! After that role, that's when I hit it really big! I was in all sorts of movies, like The Reluctant Astronaut, The Shakiest Gun in the West, and even The Ghost and Mr. Chicken which was reviewed on this very blog! Then, they made a spinoff of the Andy Griffith Show, which I didn't like very much, but you know what they say these days, you gotta get that money, homie! Am I right or am I KNOTT? Then, I had one of my favorite roles ever in The New Scooby-Doo Movies! I did KNOTT have a clue how people felt about that role, and I'd been wondering for years! Then, that no-good-nick Wildwind included a screenshot of my comments in a post about the funniest comments ever. Thankfully, you guys made it up to me by doing a whole week in my honor! That was so nice of you guys, because you did KNOTT have to do that for me at all! Man, did I feel special that week! Anyway, I continued acting for a while, got in a couple nasty divorces that were KNOTT good for my stress level, but it all worked out. Towards the end of my career I decided I loved Scooby-Doo so much that I said "Damn it Knotts, you've got to make one more appearance!" So I walked in to Warner Brothers Studios and promised myself I was KNOTT going to take crap from anyone! After all, I'm DON KNOTTS! You'd be a fool KNOTT to be scared of me. I convinced all those KNOTTheads at WB to put me in one last video. Then I died in 2006. My spirit still wanders, searching for anyone who needs a little bit of the old Knotts charm! Anyway, it was so good talking to you guys. I was KNOTT having a good Valentine's Day so this really cheered me up! I love you guys! KNOTTS AWAY!!!!!!!!

Thank you, DON KNOTTS. To answer the original question, I am quite a fan of your performances on The New Scooby Doo Movies

Matt, your praise has KNOTT gone unnoticed! My stomach has been in KNOTTS for 49 years wondering what people thought of the two episodes that I, DON KNOTTS, guest starred in. Now I can finally be at peace knowing someone liked my episodes! Thank you, you do KNOTT know how much this means to me!
