In "The Chiller Diller Movie Thriller" from The Scooby-Doo Show, the scene where Milo Booth turns out the lights has a major animation error. In the scene before and after, Velma, Shaggy, Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Dum were standing at the door where Milo Booth turned off the lights. However, when he turns off the lights, all four characters have somehow disappeared. While you could have argued that Velma, Shaggy and the dogs moved, in the next shot, you can still see their shadows standing in the doorway.
Thank you to Samuel Kirkwood for coming up with this fun fact idea!

I liked this episode for how dark and creepy it was. The Phantom of Milo Booth was cool and creepy. Him going into Scooby Dees room and leaving a note and rising from the coffin and attacking the conductor. I really like how original the motive was: replacing a dog actress with an imposter that obeys only you to get rich. This episode introduces a new character: Scooby Doo. This episode was sadly also Scooby Dums last appearance in this series.

I put Scooby Doo by accident how that happen. I meant Scooby Dee.

"This episode introduces a new character: Scooby Doo." This is news to me lol. (I'm just kidding, I know it was a typo). I've always enjoyed this episode for how creepy it is as well. I quite liked the Phantom of Milo Booth as a villain as well. I wish Scooby-Dum would have appeared in more episodes! He was such a fun character.

Unpopular opinion (?), but Scooby-Dum deserved a spin-off in the format of the Scrappy shorts. Just him, Scooby and Shaggy getting in all sorts of situations.

I don't think I would like the 7-minute format back in any way, but I'd enjoy a new series with Dum being part of the regular good ol' gang (plus Scrappy as well).

I would love for Scooby-Dum to return! Although my thoughts are similar to Becker's, in the sense I'm a little cautious to have a return to the 7 minute shorts because the writing wasn't great for a lot of them. I'd love a full-length series (or even 11 minute shorts like The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show / The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries could be fun) with Scooby-Dum though!

Oh for sure, the 7-minute format rarely worked. I probably should have phrased it differently: I meant that if we got Scooby-Dum shorts back in the early 80s instead of Scrappy shorts, it would have been fun. Not that the Scrappy shorts were awful, some of them are pretty good. 11/24/2021 11:29:14 am
Oh gotcha, I see what you're saying now. I think it definitely could have been fun to get Scooby-Dum shorts! There were definitely some of the short Scrappy episodes I enjoyed as well.

Hey Wildwind, remember when you did a review of The Scooby Doo Show season 2? I was thinking it would nice to do a review of The Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo First Series.

That's a great idea! I know people are really fond of the reviews, so I'll try to do those for another series soon :) I do have a couple of upcoming articles already written which I may post first, though.

Love that episode! A classic. I actually found a VHS recording of 6 hours of the Scooby Doo Show including 6 episodes of season 2, all except the first two, Curse of Viking Lake and Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats, so now the only Scooby Doo Show episode I don’t own physically is Curse of Viking Lake! I really wish they would just release that to DVD as it is a favorite of mine

That's so cool! I think I still have my parents' old tape that has all The Scooby-Doo Show season 2 episodes somewhere. I wish they'd release the remaining four episodes to DVD as well. Like I've said many times, it makes no sense for them to hold them back as there's nothing "controversial" about them among fans, like the Scrappy shorts, Get a Clue, or Be Cool.

hmmm well it could be a hoax of some I suppose, after all anybody can edit wikipedia if it is a joke of some kind then it is a cruel one at that. 11/24/2021 11:32:44 am
It appears to have been just a hoax as it's been removed from the page. I went back in the article history and can see what you all you're talking about, but the person provided a fake/dead link to cite their claim that Nicole Jaffe had died, meaning it was definitely fake. That's kind of the issue with Wikipedia unfortunately, since anyone can edit it, occasionally people will put fake stuff on there.
