In the opening scene of Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers, for less than a second, it is shown that Shaggy has an "Born in the USA" poster in his room featuring an animated caricature of Bruce Springsteen. "Born in the USA" was a chart-topping hit song a few years before this film came out, and is arguably one of the odder cultural references within a Scooby-Doo episode, particularly since it only appears for a split second.
Also, I'm so sorry that this was posted so late this week. 9:50pm has to be some sort of record, but I certainly wasn't going to break a 369 week streak even if I was super busy today lol. I hope it still brightens people's Tuesday morning even if it wasn't posted early enough for people to see it on Monday :)

Glad you're alright, and interesting, makes sense also cause what also made Casey Kasem famous, the America Top 40 (and voice cameo in Ghostbusters!)

Aww thanks, and I hadn't thought of American Top 40, but that's super interesting!

Becker it's true this site confirms it but it's been renamed to Scooby-Doo, Where Are You Now.

It's only just occurred to me that this will create some problems airing in the UK.

Yeah it says Scooby-Doo, Where Are You in my link too, I think it should've been obvious this wasn't just going to be named Reunion Special, that's just a generic working title. 10/5/2021 10:17:12 am
@James Dixon I hadn't thought of that, but you're right! I was wondering if they would put it on HBO Max after it aired here, but I have no idea. Although unless I'm mistaken, the UK doesn't put any Scooby content on HBO Max so that wouldn't work either. I really hope you all are able to get it around the same time we do!

@ WildwindVampire Exactly my point. We don't get HBO Max, and depending on if the special is for a mature audience then we won't be getting it on Boomerang.

Since it's from Warner Brothers Unscripted, I kind of feel like it might be for a mature audience. I hope they don't make it super raunchy. I was hoping for something more like Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood level of meta.

Yeah, E4 is quite like The CW. It has all the Adult Swim stuff and airs a lot of US dramas and sitcoms. 10/7/2021 01:42:29 pm
Sounds like it would be a good place for this special then, if it's more mature/adult-oriented like it sounds like it will be. I hope it ends up airing on there so you and everyone else in the UK can see it! 10/5/2021 10:15:12 am
Thanks for the info! I love the title of the special too haha. I was really surprised they waited this long to announce it too. That's only a few weeks away. I would have thought they would have wanted to announce it a decent amount of time before it aired so they could promote it, but I guess that's WB for you haha.
