In addition to Sandy Duncan and Cher appearing in both The New Scooby-Doo Movies and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, Mark Hamill also has appeared in both series. Hamill voiced Jeannie's master, Corey, in "Mystery in Persia."

Wow that’s cool. Mark Hamill also appeared in night of the living doo. He has been around in the franchise for quite some time.

He's also voiced 12 various other characters throughout the franchise as well!

Wasn't that also one of his first VA gigs? I know he only really became known for it after Batman TAS (fun fact for that, he only got that role cause of the 90's flash show were he played the Trickster, and that's also why he returned as the Trickster a few times on Flash 2014 and has pretty much played him any time he showed up in animation)

Yes! He didn't get started in acting until 1970, so I believe it was one of his first!

After watching The Tao of Scoob I came up with another poll. Which guest star from guess who was the best sword fighter? Wonder Women, Mark Hamill George Takei, or Lucy Liu.

That's a cool idea! I'd like to do a poll about who was your favorite guest overall as well once all the episodes air.

I have already scene The Tao of Scoob and Returning of The Key Ring but I spotted those episodes on Kim cartoon. It makes me think why Dark Diner of Route 66 isn’t on their yet. I would love to see that episode it looks cool.

Those two episodes are from the Google Drive version I gave all you. I don't have a drive version so thats probably why there hasn't been an addition of that episode.

Will the Jessica Biel and Cher episode will be available on the drive next week? Just wondering.

Hopefully. All I do is download the episodes from a source (usually MEGA) and then re-upload them onto Google Drive for easy access. In the past I've gotten episodes from guys named Dfrazzer and Moszter. They originally got their episodes from recording Boomerang in U.K. and Poland respectively. For these episodes, a guy named Arian is uploading episodes on nanda.to and he has ripped the episodes from StackTV, an addition to Amazon Prime Canada. The Lost Mines of Kilimanjaro was only added to Prime a few hours ago, so maybe we'll get something today, but maybe not. I'm pretty much at the mercy of the primary uploaders.

@Matt The Jeannie Episode of the New Scooby Movies? Why do you consider it the worst if I may ask?

It's not the worst episode in the entire franchise (that honor belongs to Ransom of Scooby Chief for me) but it is my least favorite in the series. I would say that it is somehow guilty of dragging on and being chaotic with nonsensical loose ends at the same time and is just a really strange episode in general. It's not awful by any means, but I felt it was very poorly written. Also, Babu was very annoying and the episode would probably be a little better had he not been included

Matt, for me there are a lot of episodes alongside this one that are equally bad, the Phyllis Diller one in particular and the Spooky Fog of Juneberry.

Matt
3/24/2021 09:26:14 am

The Ghost of the Red Baron and those two are the next ones on the list for me. Red Baron and Spooky Fog were very boring after a while and dragged on for forever. A Good Medium is Rare is a nice enough effort where everything makes sense and it’s not really dragging on but they try to stuff way too much into one episode and it ends very abruptly with the most loose ends of probably any Scooby episode ever

Matt

However, in general, I love the series and the runtime which allows for some much more complex mysteries, with the biggest standouts being The Lochness Mess for being basically a double mystery, Dynamic Scooby Doo Affair for being a complex enough mystery for the runtime, and Ghost of Bigfoot for just being entertaining

Samuel Kirkwood
3/24/2021 09:41:24 am

True! I really wish they'd try double length episodes even if for just one more series. Scooby Doo is a perfect basis for cliffhangers

The Phyllis Diller and Spooky Fog ones were actually ones I really liked, particularly "The Spooky Fog." The spooky setting of the cemetery makes it enjoyable for me, but I absolutely see where others are coming from. "The Ghost of the Red Baron" isn't bad by any means, but you're right it does drag on during the flying scenes.

I totally agree with Matt that the double runtime creates the opportunity for more complex mysteries, like "The Loch Ness Mess" (which is my favorite episode of the entire franchise).

Matt
3/24/2021 11:21:21 am

I like the Spooky Fog, particularly because of Don Knotts and the first half of the episode is VERY good, but that second half has to be one of the most boring points in the series it just feels like forever when they get into the caves. Would've been a near perfect 20 minute episode though. I think if we could've gotten Ghost of the Red Baron and The Spooky Fog as just normal length episodes airing both in one week rather than dragging them on, they would both be phenomenal, especially if Red Baron had a different guest star rather than the Stooges getting a second go-around

Becker

Agreed with Wildwind on "The Spooky Fog", I really like that one.

Glad I'm not the only one who likes that episode! :)

I think it's the worst of the series too! It really does feel like it drags on and a lot of the plot is nonsensical as Matt said.

Bad news everyone. Lots of Scooby-Doo shows are leaving HBO Max in april namely these Scooby-Doo And Scrappy-Doo, The Scooby-Doo Show, Scooby-Doo Where Are You!

in addition to this lots of other shows will be leaving also The Looney Tunes Show (2011), New Looney Tunes (2015), Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries, Tom And Jerry (Classic), 1967, The Yogi Bear Show (1988).

https://pressroom.warnermedia.com/us/media-release/hbo-max-highlights-april-2021

I doubt the removal of that many shows from HBO Max is a good sign.

hmmm I wonder if WB is trying to make customers to subscribe Boomerang, since those shows are available there ? One thing is for certain this exactly what drives people to pirate content.

it's a good thing they are rips of those shows since many of them are not available on DVD or Blu-ray.

That's so weird they'd just remove them like that. Thanks for the info though!

Curious, though DC universe did have an annoying habit of a rotating inventory, they seemed to think it would keep people on longer if they couldn't just watch what they wanted and leave when they finished or something stupid like that.

HBO Max cycles movies and shows in and out

but WB owns all those shows. so why remove them in the in the first place ? it simply makes no sense. this just a hunch mind you but I have a odd feeeling those shows won't be coming back to HBO Max

I'm 100% sure they'll come back. And it's just HBO Max's odd cycling system.

I truly doubt those shows will come back. please keep in mind that some other shows also got removed from Boomerang in the past and they never came back there.
