Between 1990-1994, a lesser known comic series featuring only Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby was released in the Look-In magazine in Britain. A total of 136 short two-page comic strips were released.

Thanks Peter for coming up with this week's fun fact!

Wow, really? Never even heard about this until now. I'm pretty shocked.
Why release it in the 90s though? That's quite overdue, isn't it? The era of Scooby, Shaggy and Daphne (and Scrappy) had ended 5 years prior. This comic series would have worked perfectly in '83-'85.
Also, since I already alluded to him, where's Scrappy? If you're trying to emulate a certain era here, you're missing a quarter of the main cast. I mean, it's not like he was already hated back in 1990, right? He even appeared once in a while in another Scooby comic series that was going on in 90s after all.
And why make each strip only two pages? What stories can you fit in that amount of space? And monsters at all. Was this comic series just about the regular life of a couple and their dog, I would assume? I mean, I know episodes in '83 were almost all 11 minutes long; but 2 pages, damn

I was the one who told WildWindWampire about these comic strips.
I bought the magazines that these were in and scanned them myself.
I don't have all of them, but a lot. WildWindWampire got three from me.

Scrappy is in a lot of these comics too. They are usally all four, sometimes they are three. Maybe the one behind the comic strips was inspired by the 80's era and wanted to make these, maybe they could'nt be finished and until 1990.

Its always nice to find new unknown things with scooby-doo.

I was really surprised about this series too when Peter told me about it!

So apparently Scrappy was in it most of the time too? That makes more sense now. Can't say that about the 2 page limitations lol

As confirmed in this episode, one of Scooby's desires is to become a famous stunt dog.
That was in the trivia part of 'The Tao of Scoob' in Scoobypedia, meaning that the person who typed it was Turkish/African, or the episode is out there somewhere in English that isn't DSTV.

No, he just was asking me if I knew anywhere to find the new episodes and I don't.

Are there any good websites for scans of this?

Is there anything about this comic series anywhere to begin with? I tried searching it and I couldn't find anything about it on the internet. I'm surprised Wildwind even found a page cuz I didn't even find that.

Yep, that's correct. I only got my info from Peter and had no idea about this series before he told me about it.

Are these mystery stories or just two page gag comics?

OMG! I knew they were going to release this the same week as the Sword and the Scoob to promote the movie. That's amazing we'll likely be getting all the episodes on Thursday!
