In the Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels episode "The Legend of Devil's Run," a Confederate general's ghost that looks exactly like the Ghost of Shaggy's Uncle Beauregard (minus the glowing yellow eyes) is the villain. This episode aired on May 31, 1980, 7 years before Boo Brothers was released, so it is probable that Uncle Beauregard's design was actually just a slightly reworked version of this villain.

Yeah confederate general ghost and uncle bearuregards ghost are similar but imo I don't think they are exactly the same because not only does bearuregard have glowing yellow eyes but he is also chubbier,wears brown pants instead of grey and his uniform is tattered I understand why you would think that but for me nope. 10/5/2020 10:50:09 am
That's fair, I'd still argue that the design for Uncle Beauregard may have been inspired by this villain though.
