While it's commonly known that The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries intro (more specifically the monsters dancing) was based off of Michael Jackson's "Thriller", it's less known that "Thriller" included uncredited vocals by Vincent Price, who would less than a year later join the Scooby-Doo franchise to voice Vincent Van Ghoul in The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo.

I honestly had no clue of this! I'm pretty sure Micheal Jackson himself was almost in Scooby-Doo at one point. Though I'm not sure of the story behind it, there's an image that exists somewhere of Micheal Jackson and Scooby-Doo. Scooby connections everywhere.

Interesting, I didn't know that Michael Jackson almost was in a Scooby episode. I know he was in "The Flintstone Kids" (basically The Flintstones' version of A Pup Named Scooby-Doo) but Michael was voiced by Kipp Lennon rather than the real Michael Jackson. Leave a Reply. |
