A Christmas Apocalypse issue, this should be great!!! Hopefully the solicitation will stick to the story for this one.

I'll admit I've done a very poor job keeping up with the comics due to real-life busyness...but do the solicitations actually not stick to the story for some of them?

The solicits have been inaccurate since #14.

Wow...that's really strange! Out of curiosity, how so? Like completely inaccurate descriptions or showing the descriptions for another issue or...?

SPOILERS AHEAD - I don't know what issue you've reached, but I can't explain without spoilers.

Solicit for #14 had Rufus, even on the main cover, while he presumably died in #13.
#15 solicit mentioned Scrappy catching up with Scooby, which actually happened in #14, and that someone "pays the ultimate price" because of Scrappy, but no one died except for his pack of dogs who were killed in battle. All but one, as we see in the back-up.
#16 mentions the Mega Monster and a Secret Squirrel back-up. Both actually happened.
#17 solicits small armies of monsters attacking the gang and a back-up of Secret Squirrel teaming up with Morocco Mole. Instead, the main story has Shaggy, Daphne and Velma stuck on a tree, staying out of sight and worrying if Scooby and Scrappy have survived. We're given some background on Fred and Daphne (Daphne monologue and Fred talks with Daisy far from the rest of the gang to be safe). Morocco Mole does not appear.

I've actually only read issue 1 lol. I'm sure it will be a while before I catch up so I probably will have forgotten all that by then haha.

Still, very odd that the solicits would be so far off. You would think they'd check over those for accuracy before they publicly post it! I'll maybe have to put a note on the next Scooby Apocalypse solicitations saying that the issue info hasn't always been correct.

Vol. 1 was released in February and vol. 2 is released today (September 20), so you can get those and have issues 1-12 in your hands! ;) You really should catch up when you find the time, the story is really good!
