Really bad picks overall. Some good ones but there are far better ones.

Yeah, seems like they went with some pretty generic choices where they basically just went with the 2018-2021 DTVs in order and then the lice action films as filler.

I agree. You would think they'd put some of the 90's to 2000's DTV movies in there like Zombie Island, Witch's Ghost, Alien Invaders, and Cyber Chase.

For a 100th anniversary set, you would think that they would hand-pick fan favorites rather than just random films. I agree this is a bit disappointing.

I saw this DVD at Walmart with that new golden sleeve that they're using with their other classic shows and movies to celebrate their 100th anniversary, and "random" was the first word that popped into my head when I saw this list. To agree with Jayden, most of these are really bad. It's like they weren't even trying.

I completely agree with you, and I would say that this is a wasted opportunity all around. WB knows the Zombie Island era films are fan favorites, so at least they could have included those four films instead of Return to Zombie Island and Curse of the 13th Ghost. I would think WB would be aware that most fans don't like those films lol.

Insane to me that this might be the only Scooby DVD of the year

It makes me sad that it seems like the days of DVDs are pretty much over. We haven't gotten a compilation set or unreleased episode on DVD in years now.

I’m really hopeful we get The Scooby-Doo Show on blu ray this year to complete the “trinity” they are marketing Scooby so much as their 100 Year Royal, yet not doing much to prove that to him. If not this year hopefully 2026 for the 50 Anniversary of that show. The episodes are already remastered including the missing 4, don’t know why they wouldn’t just release them.

It's hard to believe we haven't gotten the full Scooby-Doo Show yet. At this point when they have been releasing all the other most popular series on DVD, there should be no reason that they haven't released those episodes yet. It is extremely odd to me that they haven't given it's not like they're the Richie Rich shorts or Get a Clue where there'd be concern over them not selling as well as hoped.

This is ok. But I already have all of these movies on DVD so I won't be buying this.

Yeah, I will be skipping this one too. It's a bummer they couldn't do something special like release some new episodes or a previously unreleased series for the anniversary.

Truly abysmal that they are trying to market this as anything more than the usual Scooby Doo multi-movie packs

I think all of us who complained about the selections in the 50 episode set owe an apology as this is just a horrendous selection. Any selection that has Return to Zombie Island in it period does not deserve the word “Best” associated anywhere NEAR it

The thing is, I wouldn’t mind a movie repackaging of the 10 “best” (even if that is subjective, more like fan favorites) where you get stuff like the Mook era films, Camp Scare, Ghoul School, etc. in one pack, but no, they know all of those movies would make money on their own so they wouldn’t put them in a bargain value set

Agreed, this is quite possibly the most random "Best Of" set I have seen for any franchise ever. Marketing this as a "best of" pack doesn't make any sense because there's no way most of these movies are considered the "best of" anything lol. I haven't seen anybody mention it yet, but $40 for a set of 10 movies they've already rereleased is pretty pricey. I can't imagine very many people are going to want to pay $40 for a "best of" set that has all movies people probably have already bought previously.

Honestly, I skipped over the part that listed the price. Yeah, not only is it a terrible “Best of” set, it is a complete rip off too

Obviously, this will not do well, and I hope that doesn’t make Warner Bros reconsider releasing Scooby Doo DVDs in general because of this absolutely terrible idea of a DVD set. I don’t even think casual fans will see this and want to buy it. Casual fans would want to see like Zombie Island or Cyber Chase, not *these* besides MAYBE the live action movies (which fit very oddly onto this set btw)

Yeah, I can't imagine hardly anyone will want to purchase this. I doubt that WB will completely reconsider releasing any Scooby DVDs after this, or at least I hope not. Hopefully they realize that it was their random movie choices that made people not want to buy it.

What would make us happy if Warner Bros Discovery released all of the Scooby Doo movies from Goes Hollywood to Trick or Treat and TV series from Where Are You! to Velma in their entirety on DVD and Blu Ray someday somehow in the future

Now, if this was also being released on Blu-Ray, I'd find it more interesting, as other than the live action stuff, those movies haven't had a Blu-Ray release.

It is surprising to me that WB has so frequently returned to releasing the same stuff over and over when they have a bank of unreleased stuff on Blu-Ray that would make them money and would be appealing to fans that want it on that format. I get their hesitation about releasing some of the Scrappy shows and Get a Clue, but there’s a lot of content they haven’t released on Blu-Ray yet and it’s surprising they just keep pumping out rereleases rather than trying to come up with new stuff.

I'm just wondering when they are going to release the scooby doo show seasons 1,2 and 3 all together because haven't even tried to release the whole 2nd season and they've only released 4 out of 8 episodes of season 2 and for some strange reason they put the 3rd season with scooby doo where are you?

I think it would be awesome if they did that, especially since they did full series sets of the two other 60s/70s shows, Where Are You and The New Scooby-Doo Movies.

I'm unclear about the season 3 of Where Are You thing. I've heard it aired under the Where Are You title originally, but I'm not really sure what to think about that since those episodes all had The Scooby-Doo Show title card, so clearly they were intended for that series.

Apparently Hbomax is no longer going to distrubute Scooby-doo and the mystery pups so the show is essentially canceled unless it gets picked up by a different distributor

That's such a bummer! I hope a different distributor picks it up, but if Holiday Haunt is anything to go off, it seems like it's cancelled.
