Amazon UK Reveals Possible New Scooby Movie

Two listings have popped up on Amazon UK for new Scooby-Doo films. The first listing is for Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too!, which Amazon UK says will be released in the UK on September 25, 2023. The second listing is for a completely new Scooby-Doo film that has not yet been announced. The film is titled Scooby-Doo and the Haunted High Rise, and Amazon UK lists a date of October 1, 2023, only a week after Krypto Too's release. It's likely one of those dates will probably be changed, since I don't think they would release the films one week apart, but it seems like we may be getting two Scooby DTVs again next year. A big thank you to Thomas for finding these links and sharing them with me!

I’m guessing the bonus episodes for Scooby Doo and Krypto Too will be The Scooby of a Thousand Faces, What a Night for a Dark Knight, and One Minute Mysteries since Krypto Too is a crossover featuring superheroes.

For Haunted High Rise, the bonus episode will obviously be High Rise Hair Raiser.

I think those are good guesses for the Krypto bonus episodes.

Yeah, "High Rise Hair Raiser" will definitely be a bonus episode for Haunted High Rise. For the other ones, maybe "Hard Hat Scooby" could be another one? Either that or they'll just release "Hassle in the Castle" for the 30th time lol.

Seeing as they already used the NSDM episodes on the Brave and the Bold, I guess that's the most likely option, might possibly use the batmite crossover episode though?

They could choose to re-use them again. They used "To Switch a Witch" on FrankenCreepy and Rock and Roll Mystery, then used it again on Trick or Treat. I would love if they chose the Bat-Mite episode though.

This is exciting news for me! 2 Scooby-Doo movies for the first time in 1 year since 2021. And we already knew about Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too! but we didn’t know about Scooby-Doo and the Haunted High Rise so that will be interesting.

I'm super excited too and glad we're getting two Scooby films next year. I'm surprised we heard about Haunted High Rise this early. Usually Amazon listings like this don't pop up until a couple months before the film is released.

When are we getting a trailer for the Haunted High Rise?

If the movie is half as good as High Rise Hair Raiser was, it will be amazing LOL

I was thinking that too lol. It's cool that we're getting another Scooby movie on the plot of a haunted high rise.

Will these Scooby Doo movies also be available in America

Yeah, they should be available in the US. I can't imagine they'd just release the film in one country.

Haunted High Rise doesn’t have Scooby’s name copyrighted. (Scooby-Doo! Is the copyrighted format) The date is also set for October 1st…a Sunday…no DVD in any country releases on a Sunday. As you said, dates are up to change, but I feel like this entire title is set to change. It’s a little more than 10 months from October 2023. I don’t doubt Amazon because they have had a spotless record involving leaks. But this has to be a Warner Brothers mishap, they send out the marketing sheets. Someone either leaked them or started messing with Amazon through WB. Krypto on the other hand checks out, other than the fact why would they wait an entire year after the project was finishing the editing process just a few months ago.

Krypto Too is also listed for release on a Sunday, so I think both of those dates will likely change. There's also no way that WB would release two Scooby DTVs a week apart from each other.

I could see this being a WB mishap, because it is a little odd they'd have a movie put on Amazon 10 months in advance of the release. I wonder if maybe Haunted High Rise is the name of a DTV from another franchise (Tom and Jerry, for example), and it was just mistakenly labeled as Scooby because the title sounded like a Scooby film?

Take with a grain of salt, but through someone I know that March 14th was a date looked at for Krypto like a week or two ago. And if a leak comes out usually a month prior, and the 77 day gap between trailer and movie…we could see a trailer in the later part of December possibly the 27th. But whether or not WB takes that date up as their final selection, it makes sense that we got a leak on Amazon case being.

That would be great! I don't know if they'd release a trailer over the holidays, so maybe they'd wait until the first week of January to do it? I'm not sure. It would be great if we got Krypto on March 14!

It's also worth noting that Trick or Treat broke that 77 day gap, since the trailer came out August 22 and the film was released October 4, which is only a little over 40 days.

I'm wondering since those are for Amazon UK if the US releases are very different.
But yes, a sunday release is not going to happen.

Yeah, I could see Krypto being released in the spring in the US like Scoobyverse said.

I agree with you. The reason I posted it is because like Scoobyverse said above, Amazon has never been wrong before with leak. At the very least, I think Krypto is right, but I'm not sure about Haunted High Rise.

I would love if it had a plot similar to "High Rise Hair Raiser." It would be cool to have a movie-length adaption of something like that!

Through reliable source, literally someone that worked on the film, I know that “Haunted High Rise” is indeed the movie Mary J. Hoffman talked about in her interview with Jaybee and Millie, on their podcast, here is the link:

https://youtu.be/upyhCqgBO4A

The movie was supposed to come out a week after “Trick pr Treat” according to her but then pushed to Scoobtober 2023 and then canceled. However, we do not know if Warner Bros. circled back and decided to release it after all. What I do know is that the team for Trick Or Treat is the same behind this movie. Also, part of the team for Trick or Treat, as Jaybee found out, is Cole Rothacker who previously commented on Tony Cervone’s post for Scoob: Holiday Haunt that a DTV he worked for also got canceled. He was most likely referring to High Rise. Nevertheless, I went back to the comment and he actually deleted it, meaning he either couldn’t disclose anything (since people kept on asking him which movie and he got bothered) or that they actually told him they’re going forward with it and he had to delete the comment for integrity.

Thanks so much for sharing this! It's surprising that they would have released two Scooby films in the span of a week! It's cool to hear that it's possible we may be getting another film from the Trick or Treat team. I loved the writing and humor style of the film, so it would be great if we got another one like it. I'll be curious to find out if they actually did cancel this, or if WB is going forward with it.

So haunted high rise being listed on Amazon UK either means that they forgot to remove it or its being planned to be released

It is odd! I don't think the dates are right, though. Like ScoobyVerse mentioned above, those two dates are Sundays, and there's no way they'd release two movies on Sunday or one week apart from each other. I imagine we'll probably get one in the spring and one in the fall.

DVD/Blu-Ray releases are on Tuesdays in North America.

The U.K. standard release day is Monday.

I've been buying from both markets regularly for two decades and have never seen it done any other days.

Thanks for the info on the UK release days! Yeah, I'm positive they'll change both of those dates.
