It looks like we may be getting a SCOOB! sequel, series or video game at same point in the future. On Tony's Instagram (screenshot above), a fan mentioned that they wanted a SCOOB! sequel or video game. Tony responded to this fan's comment, saying "we are hoping to get a greenlight on something soon. Stay tuned!" At the very least, it sounds like the idea of some sort of follow-up to SCOOB! is being bounced around WB right now. I'm really excited and I hope we get some more news soon.
Thanks to Ashton Hardy for pointing this out on Twitter!

Whatever it is, I hope it has more mystery than the original 'SCOOB!' movie.

Hopefully! I didn't mind SCOOB! though. I thought it was a good movie even though it was more adventure-focused than mystery-focused.

Even if they do greenlight it for sequel I doubt we will be seeing it soon the first one was in production for about 6 years (2014 to be more exact)

Yeah, it's possible it could take a while. The reason the first one took so long is because they kept starting over from scratch and pretty much everyone you could think of was working on the movie at one time or another. Even JCB from Be Cool was supposed to write the movie at one point.

At least now they have a basis they can build on, so I'm sure it wouldn't take as long as the first one. 6/2/2021 01:48:10 pm
Agreed! I also added to the post that it could be a series, because that's definitely a possibility as well.

If they do make a video game, I hope they make similar to Unmasked, Night of 100 Frights, Mystery Mayhem, First Frights, and Spooky Swamp, with areas to explore with decent level design, collectables, and cool unique boss fights, along with a fun soundtrack.

That would be really fun! We haven’t gotten a big Scooby video game in a while.

Also has anyone heard from Peralann. I haven’t seen him participating in the recent stuff happening on the website. I hope that’s he’s ok and well.

It's only been a few days since his last comment, I don't think anything bad happened.

I just noticed this comment. Nothing to worry about, I just didn't have much to say until making a link yesterday. Thanks for the concern though.

If it’s a sequel, series or video game I really hope they add more of the classic cliches/gimmicks, gags and tropes. SCOOB was good but not great, focused too much on Blue Falcon, Dynomutt and Dee Dee Skyes and wasn’t a real mystery. Plus Velma didn’t lose her glasses (minus the credit shot), Daphne wasn’t danger prone and Fred didn’t really do much trapping.

I hope they'd add more classic stuff too in this animation! :)

We don't know yet if they will greenlight a sequel, or not for all we know they could simply make a video game based on it. let's not jump to any conclusions before we know anything more abou this.

I am hoping that it is a sequel. I overall didn’t like SCOOB!, because I felt its emotions were forced, the pop culture jokes just weren’t landing, and its story was pretty all over the place without much rhyme or reason. I feel like people try to put others’ opinions into a box with this movie where anyone who loves it is stereotyped as loving all Scooby media with no discerning or personal taste in any of it and those that don’t like it are too picky with Scooby and not willing to give it a chance as its own thing. It’s quite frustrating from either end and I would like a sequel that could maybe unite those sides more or at least make people less insulting towards others on their opinion of the film.

how do you know for certainty that Frank Welker is not retiring? can you provide any proof to back this up? if not then please kindly do not say such things without any proof.

I mean, Frank's not immortal, he's retiring at some point lol. The question just is how soon, which we don't know yet. Leave a Reply. |
