What We Know About Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? Season 2

A few people have emailed me recently, asking if anything is known about the second season of Guess Who. Tiny little pieces of info have been revealed throughout the course of the past months, but I thought it might be helpful and easier if it was all put together in a single post.

First, if you're reading this post and saying "Didn't season 2 of Guess Who just release this past week on Boomerang?"... it actually did not. Each season will consist of 26 episodes, as one of the storyboard artists, Tracy Mark Lee, confirmed in the comments section of one of his Instagram posts. This being said, season 2 will also be 26 episodes to make up a total of 52, which was confirmed by Tracy Mark Lee here.

As for confirmed guest stars in the next season, we already know two of the guest stars that will be in season 2. Blue Falcon and Dynomutt were confirmed to be making another guest appearance at Fanboy Expo 2019 (a Tennessee-based Comic Con) by Frank Welker. Additionally, Morgan Freeman will be guest-starring in an episode, as confirmed in the 50 Years of Scooby Snacks featurette on the Where Are You Complete Series set that came out last year for the 50th anniversary. You can check out the short clip of the featurette where Kate Micucci says it here.  Also, here are the designs for Morgan Freeman as he will appear in the episode.

Lastly, though we don't know what guest star will be in this episode, one of the villains will be a zombie bellhop. Tracy Mark Lee sadly deleted the post saying this, but here's a screenshot of what the design looked like.
Picture
Tracy also confirmed that there will be some "classic" guest stars appearing, so maybe this means we'll get some of classic New Scooby-Doo Movies guest stars? Then again, this could just mean Blue Falcon and Dynomutt.
Picture
There's also a picture of a flying monkey from The Wizard of Oz with the hashtag #scoobydooandguesswho on it, so maybe we're getting that too?
This is all we know for the moment. As for the question I'm sure is on everyone's mind, "when will it come out?" we don't know exactly. Tracy Mark Lee posted 29 weeks ago (in the comment section) that the post-production for the show would likely be over 10 months. 10 months is about equivalent to 40 weeks, so this means the show will be completely finished in October and probably ready to air by then (though this doesn't necessarily mean it will air then). This next season will for sure be the final season of the show, however, as Tracy Mark Lee has already posted that he finished the storyboards for the show. You'll also notice that Tracy drew Sandy Duncan on a spotlight-ish background, sort of teasing that "he didn't know why" he did it. This is in no way confirmed, but I think the series finale will guest star Sandy Duncan based on this post.

I hope this post has been helpful for everyone! I'm looking forward to season 2!

Dose anyone else notice that the zombie bellhop appeared in the first song of the Christian Slater episode. I knew this would happen. This monster the bug man that other fury monster and that hunchback might be in season.

I did notice that! I wonder if those episodes were intended for season 1 then pushed back to season 2.

Honestly, I'm wondering more what the next Scooby series will be, that we're gonna get after Guess Who (not a slight towards Guess Who). I have no idea. A thing we gotta commend WB on with their Scooby shows is that all of them are very different from each other (for the better or worse, depending on the series). And you can rarely predict what the next Scooby show is gonna be like (except for maybe Guess Who, because of all the crossover movies we were already getting for a few years when it was confirmed). For example, nobody ever thought we'd get a Family Guy-style animated Scooby series (I was one of the few people that were not resentful when that first picture was released actually).
As far as what series they might do, I do not think we'll get something less mystery focused, with how divisive Scoob is. My best guess is something more in line with The Scooby Doo Show. On one hand, I'd personally like to see a more serious, dark, R-rated horror show. And part of me wants a throwback to 83-84 Scooby, that gang line-up, with a comeback from Scrappy, who's still in animation jail apparently. I would have said maybe remake the concept of 13 Ghosts, but The Curse of the 13th Ghost kicked that idea out for a while.
What do you think will be the type of show we'll get next? Or what type of show would you want to be next? Two different things. This would make an interesting article.

I love that all the Scooby shows explore a different aspect and none of them are too repetitive of each other. I don't think we'll get anything mystery focused, much less R-rated lol. I don't think they'll do anything with Scrappy, since some WB execs seem to still be hardcore "screw Scrappy."

I'm not sure...maybe something more like SDMI? Like in that same tone? I know not everyone liked it, but of the last four shows we've gotten, that seems to be the one that was most well liked. Interesting you say that, my July article was going to be about "the perfect ingredients for making a Scooby series" in my opinion, but I chose to push it back so the article I did with Bradford could be released right away. It will be out in August though, so you can see my more in depth thoughts there! Thanks for asking! :)

Electric Tiki also posted a drawing of Sandy Duncan. idk if it's still there but it had a flashlight/spotlight affect shining on her

Yeah, it's the last thing I linked here. I was really debating putting anything in the post, just because I wasn't sure if it was something...but now that you say it, I bet Sandy Duncan is the series finale. She's still alive, after all.

There was also some weird sasquatch/bug monster in the Christian Slater episode so that, along with the zombie bellhop are likely to appear. Based on Morgan Freeman's design, I'm guess a western type episode.

I'm betting you're right. And wow, the new comment font looks a bit weird lol.

Chris Bailey told me in my Scoobypedia interview that he tried to get a Jabberjaw/Michael Phelps joint episode off the ground but couldn't. He also said they wanted to do Grape Ape so I'm guess there will be more HB characters

I remember reading that actually, now that you say it. I bet we will get a few more HB characters.

Like, Zoinks! I’m so excited for this! Maybe with the Victorian suits, we might be getting one with, like, Queen Victoria or something! It’s cool that blue falcon and Dynomutt are getting their own episode, even thought that’s their FIFTH guest appearance of all of the scooby doo incarnations. I can’t wait for that Morgan Freeman episode. Also, the zombie bellhop looks great! I can tell that will be a good episode. Like many people have pointed out, it was sneakily put in with the red-eye thing and bug man in the Christian Slater episode. I’d be happy if they were in an episode too, as they look epic! I just can’t wait for season 2!

It's amazing how popular Blue Falcon and Dynomutt have gotten since that 2013 "Mask of the Blue Falcon" movie, especially given it only lasted for 20 episodes and was sort of just a one-off series. I'm excited to see them again though! I agree that bellhop looks amazing. It looks like a great, spooky episode!

The good news regarding Sandy Duncan appearing is that she is still alive.

Yep, that means more of a chance that she actually is appearing in the series. I hope we get her in the series finale!
