Happy Saint Patrick's Day! The votes from last week's set were pretty spread out, but similarly to the week before, we had two options that were very close. "Howl of the Fright Hound" was poised to win for most of the week, but yesterday, "The Were-Doo of Doo Manor" got the three extra votes it needed to pull in the lead!
What is your favorite episode with a dog as a villain? 3. The Grand Canyon and Ireland - I would say this is one of the best Laff-a-Lympics episodes. The contests in Ireland are really fun, particularly the Catch the Leprechaun one.

3. I'd even go so far as to say I'd want a 22-Minute Banshee lol. It was way too cool of a villain design to be wasted in a one-minute appearance. #JusticeForOneMinuteBanshee

I've heard that the banshee charges ridiculously high rates per minute. By the time they paid the fee to hire the one minute banshee, the show's budget had been cut in half. Plans were scrapped to animate the remaining episodes at 150 frames per second. They also had to drop the writers that were going to explore the character dynamics in new cutting edge ways. All of the philosophical and psychological musings had to be left on the writing room floor as per contract. They could only afford to have them run away from the threat of the week due to the hefty sum paid in full to the banshee. 3/17/2024 02:21:28 pm
Ah, that explains it then. After doing some further research, I also found that this is why The Richie Rich / Scooby-Doo Show ended after the season 2. The financial strain of the banshee's rate left the showrunners no other choice but to immediately cease production at the end of the season. It's a shame that the banshee's terrifying looks went to its head like that.

One of the easiest polls ever. Giant Problems isn't even one of my favorite BCSD episodes, but it's still very good, which is more than I can say about the other options.
