I’m obviously bias, so I chose Krypto Too because I love the Metropolis city. The Hall of Justice becoming similar to Arkham Asylum’s game enclosed feeling they were trying to emulate.

Other than that, I really like fall festivals so I guess Trick or Treat if I had to pick for a reason NOT DC related.

It wasn't my vote, but amongst the films with DC settings, I would say Krypto Too is my favorite as well. Trick or Treat is a great one too!

I agree Scooby Goes Hollywood is a fun setting! I think they did a great job with the Hollywood setting, especially considering there were no monsters there.

I know it's a very basic answer, but Zombie Island has one of the few settings that gives me chills. The whole island is wonderful in a sick & twisted way.

I'll have to think about it more when I write up my list, but I'm really stuck between what to vote for between a couple of these settings. Zombie Island is incredible, as are Boo Brothers, Ghoul School and Alien Invaders. I think my vote is going to go to Witch's Ghost, though, for creating an immaculate autumn small town setting that feels really peaceful and serene.

I would say it's the darkest setting of any Scooby episode or movie out there IMO.

This one is a BIG one. And in all likelihood, may have the winner of the final poll. There are a lot of truly excellent settings here, but one stands out in particular as being stone perfect, and it is the one you probably think it is

A tier of its own: Zombie Island

Excellent tier: Boo Brothers, Witch’s Ghost, Alien Invaders, Aloha, Camp Scare

Great tier: Scooby Goes Hollywood, Ghoul School, Reluctant Werewolf, Cyber Chase, Legend of the Vampire, Monster of Mexico, Loch Ness Monster, Abracadabra Doo (best part of the movie which I find meh tbh), Mask of the Blue Falcon, Stage Fright, Frankencreepy

Good tier: Scooby Doo 2002, Wheres My Mummy, Pirates Ahoy, Phantosaur, Music of the Vampire, Big Top

Okay tier: Monsters Unleashed, Chill Out, Moon Monster, Scoob

Meh tier: Goblin King, Samurai Sword, Wrestlemania

Bad tier: Arabian Nights, Mystery Map

I can *almost* certainly tell you that if I had seen Return to Zombie Island, it’d be immediately in the “WTF tier”

It's a shame only one of these settings can advance, because there are so many amazing settings in these movies! Interesting that you haven't seen anything past Moon Monster Madness other than Scoob!. I remembered you hadn't seen some of the recent ones, but I didn't realize it was that many.

Good: Scooby-Doo, Monsters Unleashed, Chill Out, Samurai Sword, Mystery Begins, Legend of the Phantosaur, Music of the Vampire, Big Top, Mask of the Blue Falcon, Stage Fright, WrestleMania Mystery, FrankenCreepy, Moon Monster Madness, Brave and the Bold, Daphne & Velma, Gourmet Ghost, Curse of the 13th Ghost, Scoob!, Happy Halloween, Trick or Treat, Krypto Too

Meh: Curse of the Lake Monster, Mystery Map, Rock and Roll Mystery, Haunted Hollywood, Curse of the Speed Demon, Sword and the Scoob

Bad: Blowout Beach Bash, Return to Zombie Island

I didn't put Return to Zombie Island in "WTF" tier, as I feel that should be reserved for truly atrocious settings like Ghastly Goals and "Scooby's Fun Zone." If it were separated from Zombie Island, I'd rank it in the "okay" tier, but because the movie was trying to recreate the Zombie Island setting and tone and failed pretty miserably at that, I put it in "bad." I feel like "WTF" is too harsh though because it would be an okay setting on its own if it weren't trying to recreate Zombie Island's atmosphere.

I actually think I watched the Batman one as well more recently. Wasn’t super memorable to me clearly, but it’d go in okay or maybe good

That’s exactly why I do feel Return to Zombie Island would (likely) be in WTF tier, the execution, from my understanding, is a completely miserable failure. Maybe the two rare tiers between bad and WTF (Terrible and atrocious) would be better suited, but the existence of this movie and everything about it DOES make me go “WTF?”

Yeah, I thought it was good as well. Nothing super memorable but it was a decent setting.

It is a miserable failure in the sense that it doesn't hold up to the original film at all, so in that sense it is a very bad setting. Had the setting been a generic island in any other episode, I would have ranked it as "okay" because it did have some potential, but the fact that the movie tried to play it off as the same as Zombie Island is what made it bad. I guess I was just being generous because I did feel the setting had potential if it were unconnected to Zombie Island, but it totally makes sense to put it in the any of the Terrible/Atrocious/WTF tiers. The existence of the movie definitely makes me go WTF though haha.

Yeah, I've definitely seen that before but surely you can't deny the setting is decent and unique, from the Ghost train all the way through the magic realm. Understand you may not like it but the film itself is possibly the only Scooby to deliver multiple settings and pretty much nail each one.

I mean I don’t think the settings are bad, but they never really stuck with me too much. It could feasibly move up to the okay tier and still be accurate, it’s kinda between those two. I definitely get why one would love the Goblin King settings, it just never stood out to me as much

And I certainly disagree with the last part. I know the main campus would be Camp Little Moose, but I feel Camp Scare does this as well, between the main camp, Camp Big Moose, the underwater city, Shadow Canyon, and even Camp City all nailing it

I would say I'm somewhere in the middle between you two. I think Goblin King nails all of the settings and perfectly creates a Halloween vibe, but like Matt, I also don't quite agree that it's the only Scooby movie to deliver and nail multiple settings. Camp Scare does it really well too.

That's one of my favorite settings too! I really appreciate how well the film creates an atmosphere that feels otherworldly and whimsical.

Glad to see Boo Brothers getting some love! I wish I could have voted for that one (or Zombie Island) but Witch's Ghost slightly edges it out for me.

Hmmm.
I have wondered, as this series of polls have progressed, how many votes are actually for people voting for their favourite ep/movie. Obviously, though, if you hate a story you wont think it has a great setting.
In that vein, while Witch's Ghost is my fave movie, I've gone Frankencreepy. The castle and the village are both well done.

I've wondered that too, as the atmosphere can play a lot into if somebody likes an episode. I've been trying to keep my opinion of the atmosphere and the rest of the episode separate, although in a few cases they have aligned. If we were voting favorite movie overall, I would have chosen Ghoul School, but I ended up going with Witch's Ghost.
