Thanks Shadowscooby for coming up with this week's poll question! This was a huge list, so if I happen to have forgotten any episodes or films, feel free to let me know in the comments and I'll be happy to add it as an option!

I'm excited to announce the results of the final re-do poll about favorite episode on an Army base! Like all the other re-do polls, the winning option of the original poll won again! "Gold Paw" took first place with 31 votes. In second place, we had "Area 51 Adjacent" with 20 votes. "The Night the Clown Cried" took third with 9 votes, "Almost Ghosts" came in fourth with 5 votes, and "The Crown Jewel of Boxing!" tied for last with "Dog Tag Scooby," each getting 4 votes.

My Top 10
10) Cyclops - OK
9) The Ozark Witch Switch - Intimidating villain.
8) Mamba Wanba- I like that both Daphne and Velma have a crush.
The backgrounds were really good in this episode too
7) Zombie Island - Good.
6) Night of the Living Doo - " You can eat my brains anytime."
5) Ancient Astronauts - Daphne + Velma don't like snakes. Scrappy semi -taunting Scooby to grab the orb is interesting.
4) No Faced Zombie - Fun and a gorilla to boot.
3) Horror Scope Scooby - I will always champion that Grecian urn joke.
2) Which Witch is Which? - Delightfully bizarre humor in this one.
1) Mystery Mask Mixup - A wonderful excursion.

Zombie Island's inclusion kinda makes this unfair lol. It's gonna win by miles. I was thinking about throwing a bone to No Face Zombie Chase Case, but I can't pretend like Zombie Island isn't my favorite, so I voted for the obvious choice after all.

13. The Ozark Witch Switch- I actually like this one and all of them above this, but this one definitely is more of a witch episode than zombie episode obviously

12. The Song of Mystery- Actually pretty good. Strong list overall here

11. Babysitter From Beyond- I know this is technically a zombie episode, but it kinda doesn’t register as one in my mind, and I don’t want to rank this or any of the other ones left outside of the top ten, so this is going to be my excuse to leave one out lol

10. Mamba Wamba and Voodoo Hoodoo- Not one of my favorites from season 1 of the Scooby Doo Show, but it is still from season 1 of the Scooby Doo Show lol

9. Ghosts of the Ancient Astronauts- A lot of fun, but gets moved down because it is probably my least favorite of the two part episodes from the NSASDS and NSDMy two part episodes

8. Dance of the Undead- A standout SDMI episode for me

7. Mystery Mask Mix Up- Look, I know this is probably regarded as one of the weakest of the SDWAY, and I absolutely agree, but every episode of SDWAY has a certain level of nostalgia for me where they can only be so low

6. Night of the Living Doo- Oh, I so wanted this to be top 5, but I just can’t put it above the 5 left

5. Pompeii and Circumstance- One of my favorite What’s New episodes. An especially nostalgic one from my childhood

4. Mummy Scares Best- 2-4 are really, really hard to rank, but I think this is how it has to be

3. No Faced Zombie Chase Case- Yep

2. Which Witch is Which- One could argue that this zombie is the quintessential zombie in Scooby Doo, but you all know why this isn’t number one

1. Zombie Island- If Zombie Island is an option for a best poll where it fits the criteria, it will get my vote. Simple as that

For me Pompeii and Circumstance registers even less as a zombie episode than Babysitter from Beyond.

I would also argue The Ozark Witch Switch is as much of a zombie episode as Which Witch Is Which, as both feature a witch as the main villain with a zombie as the side villain.

So true about #1 lol.

Fair enough on the first point, different minds work different ways

I truly disagree on the second point though, the Which Witch is Which zombie is much more present in the episode, and the zombie is also just much more memorable lol

I also agree with Matt. The witch and the zombie are both in most of "Which Witch Is Which?", whereas the zombie in "The Ozark Switch Witch" doesn't even appear until the second act, and then disappears again until the end. The design of the zombie in "Ozark" is also a lot more plain and boring. He honestly looks like he could just be a regular guy who's bald and kinda pale looking lol.

Fair, I guess the scenes with the zombie find themselves in my head more than they would lend themselves to. I just vividly remember them for some reason, even the little moments, like the zombie seen running across the road for a second or peeking from a bush while the gang walk by.

I'm not going to rank Babysitter from Beyond as it doesn't feel like a zombie episode to me.

17. Return to Zombie Island - you're definitely not missing anything here lol. Didn't stay true to the plot or tone at all, and created many unnecessary plot holes. This didn't need to be released.

16. Scooby-Doo and Cyclops, Too! - very strange episode. Not really a fan of this.

15. Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed - better than the first one, but I still don't love it. Doesn't feel like a Zombie episode either.

14. Ghosts of the Ancient Astronauts - the only two-part episode from The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries that I don't really care for. The villains aren't very strong. The aliens were really cool, but they didn't show up until the end. This episode felt like it started to drag on a bit by the end.

13. The 7th Inning Scare! - pretty decent Guess Who episode. Not nearly as memorable as the others remaining though.

12. Horror Scope Scoob - not the best 13 Ghosts has to offer, but Jacob is right that the "What's a Grecian urn?" joke is a standout lol.

11. Pompeii and Circumstance - good episode, but doesn't feel at all as a zombie episode IMO.

10. The Song of Mystery - I like Que Horrifico quite a bit as a villain and him turning kids into zombies was quite creepy. However, I didn't like Velma antagonizing Shaggy about saying "like."

9. Mamba Wamba and the Voodoo Hoodoo - solid episode with a very creepy setting. Love the zombie.

8. Night of the Living Doo - this is so ridiculous that it had to be this high for me lol.

7. Mummy Scares Best - as a mummy episode, this is top tier, however it doesn't really feel like a standout zombie episode to me.

6. The Ozark Switch Witch - I would put this a lot higher, but I'm ranking these by the theme and I wouldn't say this is a particularly memorable zombie episode.

5. Dance of the Undead - great SDMI episode. Love the villains and it was great that the Hex Girls showed up again!

4. Mystery Mask Mix-Up - solid Where Are You episode, but not one of my favorites from the series.

3. The No Faced Zombie Chase Case - *Scooby voice from the end of the Laff-a-Lympics intro* Yeah! lol This is such a fun, wacky episode and I love it so much. I wish it could be higher, but the other two edge it out for me.

No but in seriousness, my real thoughts are that this is one of my favorite episodes of the Scooby Doo Show, and everything just keeps you on the edge of your seat. An all time great Scooby episode imo

@Wildwind, why rank Pompeii if it doesn't feel at all like a zombie episode when that is the same reason for not ranking Babysitter? Also I just noticed you write "The Ozark Witch Switch" as "The Ozark Switch Witch" (in the poll too).
I personally think Ghosts of the Ancient Astronauts is on par with Sherlock Doo, Night Louse and Where's Scooby-Doo, if not slightly better than them. It's a cool unique episode, especially for the HB era.
I rewatched The No Faced Zombie Chase Case a couple months ago and it's even more entertaining than I remembered. It might crack my top 10 episodes of all time now. An absolute blast.

Yeah, I absolutely agree that "The No Faced Zombie Chase Case" is among the greatest episode of The Scooby-Doo Show.

@Becker I guess I overstated when I said "at all." "Pompeii and Circumstance" sticks in my head a little bit as a zombie episode whereas I didn't even consider "The Babysitter from Beyond" for this poll until Shadowscooby mentioned that they thought it should be added as an option.

That's what I get for trying to do it off of memory lol. Thanks for pointing the typo out; I just fixed it. I actually like "Sherlock Doo" a little better. The gang being framed for the crime as well as the setting of the mystery convention is more interesting. "The Night Louse at the White House" is more interesting to me because of the settings and all the ghosts. The setting is also the star of "Where's Scooby-Doo?" IMO; I just love the plot of the gang being stuck on a train with a mummy. Honestly, the more I think about it, I feel like the villain was my issue with "Ghosts of the Ancient Astronauts." None of the villains felt particularly strong to me, and the setting wasn't enjoyable enough to make up for it. The second half really drags on for me up until they meet the aliens in the castle.

I think that Zombie Island has this one in the bag, but I imagine most of the other votes will go to "Which Witch Is Which?" and "The No-Faced Zombie Chase Case." "Scooby-Doo and a Cyclops, Too!" will probably get a vote as well, since the obscure episodes always seem to get at least one vote lol.

Mystery Max Mix Up:
I liked this episode. The Ghost of Zen Tuo and the Scare Pair were great and creepy villains. I liked the high speed car chase between gang and the Scare Pair. The Temple of The Hills was a creepy setting.
Zen Tuo as the culprit wasn’t really that surprising.

Funny moments in this episode were Shaggy and Scooby bumping into those trash cans at the parade. Shaggy saying with faces like that you’ll have to have two masks. Scooby speaking Chinese and using the steam machine. Shaggy drawing a line with the stick. Scooby pretending to be a mouse. The mouse at the end taking the Scooby Snack and saying Scooby Doo.

I liked this episode too. It's not my favorite of the Where Are You episodes, but honestly pretty much every Where Are You episode is great. I liked the car chase as well and the chase song is great. The temple was quite spooky. I liked Zen Tuo and the Scare Pair as villains. I also was not surprised by Mr. Fong being the culprit. The mouse at the end is cute haha.

Mamba Wamba and The Voodoo Hoodoo:
I liked this episode. Mamba Wamba was a great and creepy villain. His first appearance was quite spooky. The wind blowing, somebody screaming, he appears then takes Lila. When he appeared on the stairs, the moaning sounded like Captain Cutler’s Ghost.

The thing with voodoo dolls was creepy. It’s cool that the Mamba Zombie looks like the Zombie from Which Witch is Which. It was creepy that he snuck up behind Shaggy and helped him move the stuff without saying anything.

Roger as Mamba Wamba was pretty obvious. I never thought of Lila being a part of it. I thought she was just hypnotized. How can they just betray Alex Super, Ray and Deek like that. The music business really dose make you greedy.

The frog was a funny addition to the episode. He actually helped the gang out by getting the paper. It was funny that he ate all the gumbo then Shaggy said they can do frog gumbo, then the frog left then came back when they were going to get pizza.

This was a great episode! I liked Mamba Wamba and the zombie as the villain. Lila getting kidnapped was very creepy. I've always thought it was interesting they used Captain Cutler's moan for when Mamba Wamba first appears. I also found the voodoo dolls really creepy. I honestly thought this zombie was a little creepier than the one in Where Are You, even though they look extremely similar. Him sneaking up on Shaggy and his snarls/facial expressions are a bit creepier IMO. I wasn't surprised by Roger being Mamba Wamba, but I was surprised that Lila was in all the whole thing. I liked the frog in this episode. He was really cute, especially with the "pizza" scene at the end lol.

I enjoyed this episode. I liked the plot of the gang going to an island for vacation and the people on the island get turned into zombies.

I thought it was funny that whenever someone’s says Paradise Island, Barney screams.

This was a strange episode. The plot of the gang vacationing on an island of zombies was interesting, but the fact that there was a cyclops involved was very odd. This episode was just okay IMO.

Horror Scope Scoob:
This episode didn’t do a good job wrapping up the series. Also there were a few continuity errors. Zimbulu as Tallulah was surprising. The zombie walking pass Shaggy and Scooby in the crypt was creepy. I thought it was nice that Van Ghoul congratulated Scooby and the gang on stopping the demons but I still think that this series finale could’ve been done better.

This episode was just mediocre compared to most other episodes of this season. I was surprised that Zimbulu was Tallulah. The continuity errors about Zimbulu being opening the chest when it's said in the first episode that no ghost could open the chest bothered me. This was a continuity error in a lot of episodes (it happened with Zomba and Time Slime too). The zombies were very creepy. I agree with you that they could have done this finale a lot better. This episode didn't really even wrap anything up. I like the "what's a grecian urn?" joke with Shaggy quite a bit haha.

The Babysitter From Beyond:
This was a pretty good and crazy episode. The plot is pretty unique. Shaggy taking his little sister, Sugie to the babysitter. The babysitter looks like the bride of Frankenstein and tries to get Sugie. Manny the Mauler escapes from prison to get his loot. The babysitters house turns out to be his old house where his loot is. Boogey Bones the title character of the movie follows the kids where going to see follows them to the house.

Boogedy Bones was the star of this episode for me. Like, a three headed zombie and he has a face on his foot. That’s so creative. It was so creepy that he came alive and pursued the gang to the babysitter’s house.

Turns out the babysitter is actually a nice lady. Molly the Moll was Boogedy Bones the whole time.

@Shadowscooby This is my favorite episode of A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. I loved getting to meet Shaggy's little sister. The episode is super unique in the sense that it has so many villains. I love the setting of the babysitter's house and it made it extra creepy that the gang was trapped in there. Boogedy Bones is arguably the scariest villain of the series. As a kid, that scene of him running up the stairs was really creepy to me haha. It was interesting that the babysitter was a nice lady. I thought Manny the Mauler was a great villain!

Scooby Doo on Zombie Island. No offense to the other great choices. Zombie Island just has the dark creepy tone that fits a zombie mystery. Can’t say the same for Return to Zombie Island though.

It really doesn’t! In Zombie Island the gang clearly aged up, but in Return to Zombie Island it tried to debunk everything and say that the events of the first movie happened during a school project. Like…. no. Lol

Scooby Doo on Zombie Island:
This was a super cool movie. It was incredibly dark, creepy and scary. I liked that they were already in a mystery right before the movie and it was cool that we hear the SDWAY theme song.

It was interesting that the gang went their separate ways after that case. Daphne has her own show called Coast to Coast with Daphne Blake with Fred helping her on the show. Shaggy and Scooby are airport security. Velma has her own mystery solving bookstore.

It was sweet of Fred to bring the whole gang back together for Daphnes birthday. They go off to solve more mysteries hoping that they find real monsters this time. I liked the sequence of them going through those mysteries (with the monsters being guys in costumes) and hearing The Ghost is Here song.

The scene in the kitchen where that ghost was writing GET OUT BEWARE on the wall and Velma floating in the air were quite spooky. The scene in Shaggy and Scooby’s room with that revolutionary ghost came out of the mirror and told them to get out was also pretty spooky.

The zombies were super creepy. The green stuff appears and resurrecting the zombies was so spooky. The scene were Fred, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby were trying to pull off the head of the zombie thinking it was a mask and they realized it was in fact real and were tossing it to each other and then the body picked it up and put it back on it’s self was really creepy.

I liked the chase scene song It’s Terror Time Again. The zombies weren’t really the bad guys. They were just the innocent people that were lured to the island and suffered the horrible fate and were trying to scare the gang away so they wouldn’t suffer the same fate they did.

Simone Lenoir and Lena Dupree seemed like nice characters but they were the actually bad guys the whole time. Lena would lure tourists to the island and then her and Simone would turn into cat creatures and drain their life’s to expand their own lifespan. The cat creature forms were scary as hell. Jacques was also a cat creature and his form was also pretty scary. The ending was intense as they cat creatures and zombies shrivel up into bones and dust. The were cats are no destroyed. The zombies spirits have been avenged and they can no rest in piece. The ghost solider thanks them for everything they’ve done.

To bad the camera suck into the quicksand, with all the proof they had. It was a surprise that Beau Neville is actually a detective and was investigating the disappearances on the island from the beginning.

The ending was nice with Fred and Daphne together watching the sunset. Beau Neville reading poetry to Velma. Shaggy and Scooby with the peppers. Haha Scooby messed up Snakebite Scruggs when he finally caught the catfish. The cats appearing at the end with glowing eyes was pretty eerie.

This is one of my favorite Scooby movies of all time. It was fun how the movie started immediately with a mystery.

Daphne having her own show and Velma owning a bookstore was really cool! And yeah, it was very sweet of Fred to bring the gang back together for Daphne's birthday. The sequence with "the Ghost Is Here" was great!

The scenes with Morgan Moonscar and the Civil War ghost were terrifying. I thought the scene where Morgan crawls out of a pit was particularly frightening. The zombies were all really creepy. Yeah, that scene where Fred tries to pull the mask off, but it's real, is really scary.

It was surprising that Simone and Lena were responsible for everything. Their backstory is really creepy, as were their cat creature forms. I also wasn't expecting Jacques to be involved. The ending of this movie is arguably the most intense of any Scooby movie when they all turn into bones. It was nice how the soldier thanked them at the end. I was also surprised Beau was a detective. The ending was really sweet.

Night of The Living Doo:
The special was pretty well done. I liked that the this special was a mixture of SDWAY, NSDM and parodied the whole franchise on a whole. I really liked the humor in this special.

Gary Coleman was a great guest star. It was so funny that when mystery machine ran out of gas, he had a tank on him and filled her up. Then, when the van had a flat tire, he had a tire on him and went to change it. Fred was so pissed. He drove so fast and crashed the whole van and said “let’s see the famous Gary Coleman fix that”. It was funny that Scooby sang the Different Strokes them song the show that Gary Coleman was known for. It’s also funny that Shaggy and Scooby did Gary Coleman’s catchphrase. “Whatch you talking about”.

David Cross was a great guest star. Like Gary, he was ruining the mystery for the gang. Reading the suspects diary, opening the picture where the suspect was watching Daphne and Velma from, showing the secret passage way. Haha he was throwing cans at Gary Coleman. Him wanting Scooby to say his name cause he’s aware of Scooby’s pronunciations with the Rs. Haha he split up the gang and has Daphne all to himself. He was arguing with Fred about then pulled the book shelf and said it’s too late and Fred followed him and brought Velma with him haha.

I liked that Big Bad Voodoo Daddy did the the theme song for this special and the chase scene song for this special.

The zombie was JabberJaw the whole time. His motive was that he was jealous of the Scooby gang and their fame. He had his own tv show but didn’t last long while Scooby Doo lasted longer.

Mark Hamill was Shifty all along. He was working undercover on the case from the beginning. I liked that Shaggy said that “he must’ve used the force”.

The ending was funny with Gary Coleman saying that all of this makes no sense and that Scooby jumped on and started licking him with everyone else laughing.

I really liked this special! It was cool how it parodied some of the older Scooby shows.

I liked Gary Coleman and David Cross as guest stars. It was funny how Gary crashed the van, and how David kept ruining all the clues haha. The throwing cans thing was really funny. I also found it amusing how he was trying to have Scooby pronounce his name.

I was surprised that the zombie was Jabberjaw and that his motive was to kill the gang. It was interesting that Shifty was Mark Hamill lol. The "using the force" joke was funny. It's cool how he showed up again as a guest star almost twenty years later in Guess Who. The ending was funny and quite similar to that of "Shaggy Busted" with the weird laughing haha.

Pompeii and Circumstance:
I enjoyed this episode. I thought this episode was kind of unique with the gang touring Italy and coming upon the the city of Pompeii that was destroyed went Mount Vesuvius erupted and covered the whole city in lava with the gladiator surviving as a zombie and scares people away from his city.

The Zombie Gladiator was a great and creepy villain. The Emperor Ceaser Saladicus was also pretty creepy. Hearing the people cheering was kind of creepy. As a kid, I was confused on which one was laughing when Fred was down but now that I think of it it was most likely the Zombie Gladiator.

It was pretty interesting that a generator was being used on Mt Vesuvius bring up the lava. Man, it almost erupted again. Thank god Daphne kicked it and it stopped.

Ugo and Captain Guzman as the culprits were pretty obvious. They were melting all the treasure so that they can clear sites of historic artifacts so their company can get more land for them to build on.

I was mistaken, this episode I believe was the actual start of Fred bench pressing 220 ponds.

This episode was the start of Fred trying do learn a language while carrying a book. Haha Velma told Daphne that he just said where’s the bathroom in Italian. He ordered a plotted plant instead of food.

Shaggy and Scooby were eating spaghettini and ended up kissing haha.

This was a great episode and it was fun to see the gang in Italy! The zombie gladiator was a really cool villain. I liked Emperor Caesar Saladicus as a villain as well. The cheering was definitely creepy. I've always believed it was the Zombie Gladiator who was laughing when Fred was down. I thought the volcano being run by a generator was an interesting touch too. It certainly worked with the updated feel of the show and how they'd used technology more than any other Scooby series up to that point. The culprits were definitely obvious. Yeah, I think you're right that this was the first episode Fred said he could bench 220. Fred's mistakes trying to learn Italian was funny.
