Some of you may remember that last year, I did several special things on the blog to celebrate Scooby's 50th anniversary. While Scooby's 51st anniversary this year isn't quite as momentous of an occasion, I still think it's worth celebrating!
To celebrate, I have a few different things planned on the blog for this month. Last year, one of things I started was the weekly polls, which have now become a regular thing. That's why, for this month, I'm turning the weekly polls into daily polls! A new question will be asked every single day, and the results to each poll will be tallied up the next day with the next question. This will be leading up to a little surprise at the end of the month :) The polls start Tuesday, September 1, and continue daily through Wednesday, September 30.
Given what a great success they were, I'm also bringing back the fan spotlights this month! The Scooby franchise has such an amazing fanbase and there are so many cool Scooby fans out there. Instead of doing one every day this month though, I'm going to do it a bit differently this year. Each day leading up to the anniversary on the 13th, beginning September 1, the spotlight will be placed on a different Scooby fan and they will answer some questions in an interview-style profile. Same questions I asked the spotlights last year, but a whole different group of 13 awesome Scooby fans to meet! Once again, I tried to pick out a very diverse group of fans! While there may be a few people you recognize as regular commenters on the blog, I chose a broad range of Scooby fans from the ScoobyAddicts forum, the Scooby Instagram and Twitter fandom, hosts of Scooby podcasts, as well as a few other really cool friends I've met over the years! I'm super excited for you to meet these 13 people who all have a broad range of perspectives on the franchise.
You can also look forward to a few regular traditions on the site, all of which will still be happening: a fun fact every Monday, an article on the evolution of ScoobySnax on the six-year anniversary of this site and blog (Thursday, September 3), and a special editorial article the very next day on September 4.
I hope you all are looking forward to all the content in September! :)
