I don't believe it's cancelled, it just reached a finale, it couldn't go on forever. I will ask JM DeMatteis on Twitter however to make sure.

Ah okay, that could be. The article I found this on made it sound like it had been cancelled. Thanks and please let me know what you find out!

He confirmed that it was cancelled, "but with enough warning for [them] to do a proper finale". 1/21/2019 10:16:20 am
Thanks for checking, Scoob16! I'm sad it's getting cancelled. I still need to catch up on the past few issues, but so far it's been a really great series!

Sad to see it cancelled but at least we'll get a finale and in fairness I think it's nearly run its course anyway, better to end soon on a high than drag on.

I'm glad we're getting a proper finale too. I guess you're right about it being good that the series is not dragging on too long and running out of ideas.

I found out (probably) why Scooby Apocalypse was cancelled and it was due to Warner Bros.' growing dislike to DC Comics' reimagining of the Hanna Barbera cartoon line. I don't know if there's someone who can double check on this but this is what I have seen. Here's the link I saw it on: https://scoobydoo.fandom.com/wiki/Scooby_Apocalypse 12/2/2019 02:53:13 pm
I don't know how I possibly didn't see this until now, so apologies for the incredibly delayed reply! Yeah that's what I've heard too, though I have no idea of the validity of it. Given the WB executives' control issues in the past with things deviating too far from the original formula, this really wouldn't surprise me. Leave a Reply. |
