The trailer for SCOOB! is finally here, and I must say, I like all the voice actors! Will Forte sounds like Scott Menville with a hint of Scott Innes. It's an interesting mix, but I definitely like it and I'm sure it will grow on me even more. The trailer kinda gives me a 2000s Pixar movie vibe for whatever reason. Either way, I'm super excited now for the film and can't wait for it to come out 6 months from now!
Additionally, Simon Cowell announced on the X Factor this weekend that he was going to be in the new Scooby-Doo movie. While it's very likely to be this one he's referring to, it is also slightly possible that he could be in the King Arthur's Court DTV coming out next year. What are all your thoughts on the new trailer?

I LOVED this new trailer! I found it to be lively and funny! I was worried the trailer would try to only work from the cutesy angle, but they never overdid it like some films do and they included enough humor in the cutesy bits to make them feel warranted. The new animation looks great and the voices all sound pretty good, although Shaggy will probably be the one that takes the most getting used to. After this trailer, I can easily say I am very much looking forward to this film!

The trailer did a great job balancing humor with giving us a good idea of the story. I didn't mind Will Forte as Shaggy actually!

I wouldn't have changed any of the voice actors. I was kind of mad when it turned out that Frank Welker wasn't going to voice Fred.

I enjoyed Zac as Fred too, but I guess I'm viewing it from the lens of how they picked different actors/actresses for the live action movies too. Obviously, this is different because it's animated, and it's not ideal that the original voice actors were replaced, but I see why they did it and I don't mind considering it's just this one theatrical film.

I like the animation, can handle the voice actors, but I don´t like Shaggy´s voice at all, it doesn´t fit him, Although I found the trailer really cute especially little Scooby ♥

The trailer was actually pretty good. Better than I ever expected tbh. It looks like a good time. The chemistry between Shaggy and Scooby was perfect, classic. It's a relief, cuz it's one of the main reasons why fans watch Scooby Doo. All of the jokes they put in the trailer imo worked well. They were funny, like the whole trailer inside a trailer thing (good old Shag and Scoob antics), Shaggy licking Scooby (felt like something out of a fanfic), the Ikea joke (so we'll have some modern, hopefully not lazy, puns) and the 12 year old Scotch (that came out of nowhere lol).

I agree the trailer was a lot better than I expected! I hope the rest of the jokes are as good as those. I especially enjoyed the IKEA joke haha.

One Easter egg I noticed is that the ship at the beginning was a ship version of dastardly's mean machine from wacky races

I thought this would be very bad tbh but i just saw the trailer and changed my mind a bit. I agree with all of you this is one of the cutest versions of the scooby gang. Also the voices were surprisingly ok{Well not all. I can't stand shaggy's. I mean no offence to the actor but his voice doesn't fit}. Overall it might worth a watch if the mystery is good

I didn't think it would be bad, but I didn't expect it to be this good either! I was surprised by how good the voices were too. And yeah these were all super cute!

It was already established in "Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins" how Scooby and Shaggy meet. Also, in "Daphne and Velma" it shows how those two meet. I don't like when the origin stories keep getting changed. What's so cool about them is how realistic the characters seem (OK, except for a talking Great Dane) and I've known them the last 40 years (get out much?-No, not lately). I didn't like the new voices or the Hollywood taking over this animation in this way (can't stand most of Hollywood). It's OK with the live action movies being a little different voices b/c of the acting roles (like Freddy Prince Jr., Sarah Gellar, etc.). With those, it's cool they cast Matthew Lillard as Shaggy; hmmmm; would they ever get live Mindy Cohn to play Velma? Probably not/too old by now probably...Hmmm. I'll be very grumpy about this movie and don't know if I'll go see it in the theater. It's probably like a "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"/ "Monsters vs Aliens" etc. etc. story- not the true spirit of Scooby Doo that made me addicted to it. Sorry, that's just how this Scooby-Snob feels about it. I could change my mind. Who knows. But I hope it's not one of those "Boss Baby"/"Sing"/"Zootopia" etc. sell out, empty, mass-produced/written by the same person type movie-story lines from the last 10 yrs, made to make a buck-not art. Scooby Doo is art. At least in my opinion. Uggghhh. Hopefully they don't screw it up too much.

That's a very valid opinion and I can see where you're coming from even if I don't 100% agree with everything you said. I think it would be interesting to have Mindy Cohn play Velma, but I believe I read somewhere that she was dealing with cancer, so I'm not sure if she would be willing. It does remind me a lot of kids' movies from the past 10 years, so we'll just have to wait and see how it is!
