OMG, that Apocalypse looks terrifying!! Hope it's not true!
I love the cover though. Porter's back, baby! :D

Finally, BF and Dynomutt on Team-Up! Now this issue, I will read when it comes out online.

It does look really terrifying! Though I must admit I love Howard Porter's art style as well.

Btw, I haven't had a chance yet to read these last few (I did read through #18 though thanks to your suggestion about buying the TPs! :D), but are the solicits still sometimes incorrect?

Hm, ok, I'll start with #19 then.

#19 solicit says hints that the gang fight among themselves, hence Daphne and Daisy face-to-face on the cover, but it doesn't happen, the story focuses on Cliffy. Secret Squirrel does "face the consequences of his disastrous actions", as promised.

#20 is indeed a Christmas issue, but the solicit incorrectly mentions that the gang wakes up on Christmas morning to find two members missing (the covers hint that it's Shaggy and Fred), but no one goes missing besides Velma for a couple of pages. Secret Squirrel doesn't face his enemy as the solicit promises, but that's where Morocco Mole steps in, first seen in the previous issue.

#21 solicit mentions an underground base, but the only thing underground is a sewer through which Daphne and Fred go to reach a mall in order to fortify it, according to Velma's plan. The solicit also says that we see what became of Scrappy after his presumable death in #18, but he's not even mentioned in the story. Plus, Secret Squirrel doesn't go "where many men have gone before", but instead the story continues from the end of the previous one, in Morocco's penthouse.

Finally, whereas the #22 solicit - and cover - hints a major catastrophe and the end of the human race, the actual story just continues from where the previous one left off, with Daphne and Fred reaching the mall - though there's something strange going on. As for Secret Squirrel, he's barely seen in this story as the focus is on the Wily Wolf and Double-Q (separately).

All that withstanding, I think the #23 solicit will be about right.

That's really strange that the solicits would be that far off from the final comics. Particularly the Scrappy's demise one, since it doesn't even come remotely close to happening. It's a shame, I was looking forward to seeing what happened! :(

Hmm, interesting about the Secret Squirrel descriptions being incorrect as well. Though, in honesty, I haven't enjoyed the Secret Squirrel plotlines all that much. Just seems like filler to me. The "Willy Wolf and Double Q" story that you mention doesn't give me a lot of hope either, unfortunately.

Well, considering that the solicits are written months before the final comic, and the fact that Apocalypse has a story arc and it's not standalone stories (like Where Are You and Team-Up), I guess it's justified that they're incorrect.
But still, I'd give anything to have Scrappy back. He was so dimensional.
