Hexed

Happy Friday the 13th!

Just in time for this "spooky" occasion, I've just published the first chapter of a brand new piece of Scooby-Doo fanfiction, titled Hexed. This fanfic focuses on The Hex Girls as being a local band, following directly upon what was established in Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost before they achieved international success. This fanfic shows a less glamorous side of the girls, where they are forced to play in cheap venues around the town of Oakhaven in hopes of becoming discovered. Despite their poor performing conditions, the girls are so passionate about creating music that they remain optimistic that things will get better once they become famous. When Thorn, Dusk and Luna are discovered by a music executive, they soon find out that rising to fame might not be not quite how they envisioned it when they get tangled up in a dangerous mystery involving a cursed object.

I know I had a routine with my previous fanfic, Fangs for the Memories, where I posted a new chapter every single Friday. At the moment, I don't have a plan for when the next one will be posted. It seems like with every new fanfic I start, I need a little while to get a rhythm for writing it before I commit to a posting schedule, but I would like to start posting chapters of this regularly in the near future.

Also, if you've read either of my other two fanfics, Fangs for the Memories or Coast to Coast with Daphne Blake, you'll know that my writing can get pretty silly. I really wanted to try my hand at writing something darker, so this fanfic will not have any of that same silly energy as my prior work.
