In an interview with Maxwell Atoms, who wrote Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!, he explains that the idea of the Mystery Machine being destroyed in Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island was just thrown at him at the last minute by WB, and he decided for creative purposes not to address it in the film. Thus, the storyline of how the gang recovered or rebuilt the Mystery Machine will likely never be addressed.
I have actually known about this interview for quite a while, as I was actually invited to participate in it but unfortunately couldn't make it. I wasn't sure whether I could share this or not, but given it's been uploaded to YouTube, I imagine it's okay. Note that you may see a familiar face in the interview - the host of the Unmasked History of Scooby-Doo Podcast, Alexa!

I imagine we'll get it sometime this week. It aired in Canada yesterday and I remember with some of the last batch of episodes, we didn't get it until mid-week.

I feel disappointed that we will never how the gang got the Mystery Machine back. a shame this will most likey never get addressed.

Agreed! I get why Maxwell Atoms chose to do that, given it was sprung on him at the last minute, but at the same time I wish it would be addressed again in a future film.

hmmm perhaps fans can write a fan fiction story, which would address how the gang got the Mystery Machine back. I feel that a important gap is missing, I mean we know how they lost it but not how they got it back.

The plot for the movie is most likely fake. But we do know for a fact that there is a upcoming Scooby/Cowardly crossover movie coming up this year.

it's definitely fake since we know they were 52 episodes for this series and this one has finished it's production. besides as pointed out a person should not trust what Wiki says. jus say a small reminder everyone there never will be or has been a third season of guess who season 1 and 2 had both 26 episodes an d that's all.

I hope somebody, removes that fake entry from wiki soon. I despise things things like that in fact I even consider them to be spam, why is that some people feel the urge to write fake entries anyway ? this kind of shit really needs to stop on the internet.

As an Englishman not a fan of American football and a lot of the references went over my head. Still the alien design was pretty cool along with the setup and I for the life of me was still guessing just who the culprit would be at the end. Overall a pretty decent episode for the mystery and I've opted to stick it in 14/48 for that reason. Also did the guest star really just refer to himself as a sex symbol on kids TV?
