Fun Fact of the Week #250

Given this week is the 250th fun fact, I wanted to do something extra special. Like we've had on some of the "milestone" fun facts in the past, this week, a very special guest writer has written the fun fact.

Here to celebrate the 250th fun fact is Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated producer and director, Victor Cook.

As you probably know, Harlan Ellison was a guest-voice actor who voiced himself in both "The Shrieking Madness" and the very end of "Come Undone." However, you probably don't know that Harlan Ellison made a very interesting request when reading his lines during the production of "The Shrieking Madness."

"At the record, he demanded to re-write one of his lines." Victor Cook shares. "The head writer and the crew felt honored by this because we admire Harlan so much."

Thanks so much to Victor Cook for collaborating with me on this week's fun fact. I wish him the best of luck in whatever future projects he decides to pursue!

That's it for this week, but y'all should make sure to come back next week, and every Monday for that matter, for a new fun fact of the week on ScoobySnax.com.

Cool. I read an article that there is going to be a website that opens on July 26 that goes on for 50 days with each day unlocking things like giveaways and other things

Could have been a really awesome third season of Mystery Incorporated with the gang fighting monsters, both real and fake for Harlan, but sadly wasn't to be. Had no idea he had passed away. May he rest in peace. Whilst we're remembering those who've past and because I'm currently watching the New Scooby Doo Movies again, only 5 of the non-fictional guest stars remain after Tim Conway's passing in May, that could be an interesting Scooby fact for future, you'll have to find out who though!

I agree, it would have been really cool! I didn't know he died either.

Sandy Duncan, Cher, and Dick Van Dyke are still alive. Bobby Joe Mason and Curly Neal from the Harlem Globetrotters are also still alive. That would make a good fun fact, doing research for this actually gave me ideas for several other fun facts as well. Thanks!

Yep, that's exactly who I got as well, sure Dick Van Dyke is immortal. Glad I helped give you some ideas for future facts. I really need to tune in more on Mondays and read more of them.

It appears upon further research that Bobby Joe is a dead actually, making the number four instead of five. Weird, as I found one page that said he was still alive, but then multiple others that said he had died.

Thanks, hope you are enjoying the fun facts! They're a lot of fun to research and it's fun posting them every Monday :)

Congratulations on 250 weeks!!!! Keep up the great work. I know that this is my and a lot of others go to scooby site. Who knows what will have happened after the next 250 weeks, hopefully some really cool dvd releases. Also, did you see the old post on kiss' instagram (or facebook cant remember) saying they had finished voices for scooby doo and kiss 2. Maybe they are in a guess who episode????

Thank you so much! :) I did see the KISS post. I'm wondering if it was for a Guess Who episode too. I'm betting it is! Maybe they'll be in season 2?

iTunes has an episode listing for the 50 cartoon collection and if it's right the only 3 new to dvd episodes are the chiller filler movie thriller, chefs of steel, and almost ghosts

Wow, thank you so much for pointing this out! That's disappointing how little new episodes there are. There's also "Happy Birthday Scooby-Doo," but still, 4 new episodes total is very lame. Huge missed opportunity!

But seriously, thank you for sharing this! It's incredibly appreciated :)

I just remembered that "Happy Birthday, Scooby-Doo!" was released on the Happy Spook-Day Scooby-Doo DVD. So you were correct, there are only 3 new episodes.
