 While those of us who live in the US are waiting for 9 episodes of "The New Scooby-Doo Movies" to be released, those in Britain are only waiting for 8 episodes. Despite refusing to allow WB to release "The Secret of Shark Island" at all in the US, Sonny and Cher allowed WB to release the episode on VHS in Britain and a few other select areas of the UK.

Is there a source that says they refused to allow the release? I don't know if they're to blame. Cher may not even be aware of the issue.

No sources that specifically gave quotes/testimony from share, but a few I places I saw did say that they didn't allow the episode to be released, along with the eight other stars (Addams Family, Phyllis Diller, Sandy Duncan, etc.). Come to think of it, I'm not really sure if it is just a modern-day assumption that those nine episodes in the series weren't released simply because the guest stars refused to sell the rights. I guess it could be for other reasons. Honestly I haven't been able to find any official quotes (as in coming directly from the guest stars) saying that the selling rights were refused for any of the guest stars. 2/1/2017 11:00:15 pm
