Pretty much any serious Scooby fan will recognize the trademark "Scooby-Doo!" logo (pictured above) that is now attached to all merchandise and content with the franchise. However, the exclamation mark which has now become commonly associated with the Scooby-Doo franchise and brand was not always present.
The exclamation mark was first placed at the end of Scooby's name when "Scooby-Doo! and the Haunted Castle" was released in 1998. The exclamation mark was then only occasionally used, up until mid-2002, when WB began using it on almost every piece of merchandise released for the franchise, as evident in the DVDs "Scooby-Doo! Meets The Boo Brothers," "Scooby-Doo! And The Reluctant Werewolf" and "Scooby-Doo! Arabian Nights" DVDs.
