Happy Halloween! We've already done quite a few Halloween-related polls in previous years, as well as a Headless Horseman poll back in 2021, but I still wanted to do a Halloween-themed poll. Note that Witch's Ghost is ineligible for this poll as the living pumpkins only appear in a very brief scene. Goblin King also is not included as the Headless Horseman only shows up for the scene, and his pumpkin head was Jack, who wasn't a villain.
Here are the results for last week's poll: Make a Beeline Away from That Feline - 27 The New York Underground! - 11 Worst in Show - 9 Mission Un-Doo-Able - 4 Chefs of Steel - 2 New York and Turkey - 1 The Ransom of Scooby Chief - 1 Mayhem of the Moving Mollusk - 1 Go East, Young Pardner - 0

That's a good one! I am debating between Boo Brothers and A Scooby-Doo Halloween. Boo Brothers is amongst my favorite but the scarecrows were more memorable as pumpkin-related villains than the Headless Horseman in that film.

I'm not sure if anyone else knows but the Scoobtober 48 hour watch on WB Kids Youtube channel is currently playing Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get a Clue, and it seems to be the entire show.

I remembered about the marathon this weekend, but I had no idea they were playing the entire Get a Clue show! That's amazing! It's cool that they're showing it as I don't believe it's been shown anywhere for over a decade.

I just check and they ended off from "Zoinks the Wonder dog" leaving out "Uncle Albert Alert" and went on to play "Big Top, Scooby Doo!" 10/29/2023 05:44:55 pm
That is really strange they'd play all but one episode of the series and then stop. Maybe they'll play it at some point before the marathon ends.

HHOH, my favourite episode in the franchise, even if it isn't the *best* one

Some great choices here, but I'll have to go with Headless Horseman of Halloween. Such an awesome iconic episode.

Still haven’t seen Happy Halloween or Trick Or Treat (watching new movies and not just ones I’ve already seen in the background can be a real time commitment for me). I’m including the Witch’s Ghost pumpkins in my list, but they don’t have to be added or anything if they aren’t deemed relevant enough

6. Haunted Hollywood - it's a good movie, but yeah, it is a pretty easy last place here as it is average compared to the rest of these.

1. I’m a bit surprised you have this here as you seem to be lower on this episode than most, but that is a pleasant surprise. I find it to be a top ten episode of all time personally. The atmosphere is top notch, and it includes several small creepy moments like the dressmaker’s dummy walking up behind Scooby and Shaggy in the mirror (even if it turned out to just be Scooby Dum lol) and Tarlof’s footsteps in the fog

1. I wasn't really a fan of the plane scene and wouldn't put it anywhere near the top 10 of the franchise, but it is a very good episode for the atmosphere it has and how well-written the mystery was. It's also easily the best Headless Horseman in the franchise, which is the type of villain that most comes to mind as a pumpkin-themed villain. I like this one a lot even though it's not one of my favorites of the series.

1. I guess one of the things I noticed is that the airplane scene doesn’t go on very long at all, especially in comparison to episodes like The Scary Sky Skeleton or ESPECIALLY Ghost of the Red Baron. I remembered it being much longer than it actually was 10/29/2023 08:38:14 pm
The plane scene wasn't nearly as long as I'd remembered it either. I still think it's a stark change of atmosphere from the rest of the episode and don't like it for that, but it doesn't really ruin anything with the end of the episode or anything like I'd remembered. It did go down two spots in my series ranking, although honestly that was just because two other episodes (Kooky Caper and Fiesta Host) grew on me a ton since the last rewatch.

8. Happy Halloween, Scooby Doo - An average movie with an over exaggerated car chase scene and overall the pumpkins as villains seem a bit meh.

I liked how #6 required no explanation lol. And yeah, even though I didn't include it here, I also loved Jack's transformation scene.

I have picked a scooby doo Halloween mostly because of nostalgia.

Thanks for sharing your ratings! Yeah, I agree Velma's characterization in the film was much more likeable, and it redeemed her after how she was in Curse of the 13th Ghost and Return to Zombie Island.

I loved Jack (and Goblin King in general) as well! Sadly, I don't think they'll reference it again just because the film's reception was very split, where some of the fanbase seems to strongly dislike it, whereas others really like it. I've always found it to be a really fun little adventure, and I like how it has a very magical, whimsical feel to it. This is a very hot take, but it's in my top 10 Scooby movies.
