In "Wednesday Is Missing," all of the actors from The Addams Family show reprised their roles except for two. Wednesday and Pugley's original actors, Lisa Loring and Ken Weatherwax, did not return to voice their characters from the original series, and were replaced by Cindy Henderson and Jodi Foster, respectively.

Here is a Smokey Bear PSA that features the 1973 version of the Addams Family. It has the voices of Lennie Weinrib, Janet Waldo, and Cindy Henderson, but NOT Jodie Foster for some reason. Pugsley doesn't speak at all.

Hey, Carson, could you confirm which episode of Top Gear? :) LOL 2/19/2024 07:45:33 pm
I'd never seen or heard of that PSA, but that was a really interesting watch! I didn't like Lennie Weinrib's Scrappy voice at all though, I thought it sounded weird and nasally. It honestly kinda sounded like Moonrock from The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show lol.

Don Messick’s Scrappy voice was better 2/20/2024 11:31:12 am
Lennie Weinrib is okay in some roles, but definitely not Gomez. John Austin did his best Gomez in the 1992 cartoon. 2/20/2024 05:34:02 pm
Agreed, I also thought John Astin did a good job in the 1992 series. Yeah, I don't mind Lennie in some roles, like he did a great job in his three New Scooby-Doo Movies roles (especially Uncle Nat), but I don't really care for his Gomez or Scrappy voice.

Grandmama and Cousin Itt's original actors didn't return either. They were voiced by Janet Waldo and John Stephenson. Foster, Henderson, Waldo and Stephenson would then go on to voice their respective characters in the 1973 animated Addams Family.

The only reason I could think for Astin's absence is that he was busy.

Interesting, I didn't even think to check on Cousin Itt, and I didn't realize about Grandmama. I was also thinking maybe Astin was busy for the 70s show, but yeah, it is really weird considering he appeared in those other projects around that same time.
