While Scooby and the gang have solved hundreds of mysteries over the years, there are still a few that remain unsolved. The following list is of cases which we see in various episodes and films, but were never solved:
This is just a short list of observations related to unsolved mysteries that I made. I'm sure there are more, but I tried to just stick with things specifically relating to mysteries and not stuff like "we don't know how they got the Mystery Machine back" and "We don't know what happened when Dracula appeared at the window in the end of Reluctant Werewolf," because otherwise the list would take weeks/months to compile. If you can think of any I'm missing, I thought this could start a fun conversation in the comments.

Obviously the Black Cat Creature in Return to Zombie Island was one of the unsolved mysteries, because no one knew who it was or if it was real or not. Even the three culprits that disguised themselves as cat creatures didn't know about a fourth cat creature.

Oh gosh, how could I forget the cat creature? Haha.

Curious which of these are just from them editing episodes down, like the older ones could have had bits cut out for syndication and they're just lost over the years (recall one person thinking that the New Scooby Doo Movies feel incomplete or are missing scenes), and what was just "we'll get to it later" and then forgetting.

I'm not sure, honestly. Ever since that minute-long clip from "The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair" surfaced, I'll admit I've been wondering if any other episodes had scenes cut! I think someone on here mentioned that we never see the mentioned mummy in the Addams Family episode.

We'll probably never know unless a big name fan researcher looks into it. Even then it's unlikely to hear because it might get tossed into....family unfriendly stories, that Warner bros wouldn't like getting out about scoob. 9/28/2020 08:51:58 pm
I'm a bit confused what you mean by "family unfriendly stories"...you mean that them getting into the Phyllis Diller's ex-husbands stuff would lead them into scenes about divorce? That's probably not a likely scene that would occur, so not sure you what mean by that comment I guess. "Scooby-Doo, I'm Divorcing You!" lol

Sorry, I was typing my last comment on my phone so I didn't make my thoughts as clear as I'd have liked. I was saying that a scooby doo researcher who was a mega fan would love to find the footage, but they'd also love to talk about the making of, the thoughts there of and stories we've never heard, not all of those would WB want out in the light I'm sure, I mean Ruby Spears made Scoob for HB and they later left for their own creations. I imagine there was not....entirely good terms at that leaving. There are also likely things done in the voice booth and other things that while understandable at the time would not fly today (I'll leave those up to your imagination)

True...though I'd much rather just say Velma was being dumb and the explanation about his spirit being freed was the correct one lol.

Yes, I think all of us would rather just consider that and dismiss a different interpretation, so that it's not a bigger middle finger of a movie than it already is lol. We're hanging onto anything that's possibly good. Leave a Reply. |
