Here's a sneak preview of the season finale of Guess Who, premiering on Boomerang this Thursday! Not sure if it's just me, but the animation looks a bit different on this one, as does the vibe of the episode in general. I will say I'm getting sick of having the gang being related to the guest stars, as it's mentioned in another clip that Batman's butler Alfred Pennyworth is Daphne's uncle. That seems like lazy writing to me.

I was looking forward to Kevin guest starring. But it sounds like he’s being directed to perform for laughs. I was also expecting the classic animated series look to be his character design but instead they opt for the lesser 2004 show which was called The Batman.

Seems like it is a very comedic version of Batman, yeah. And I think you're right that they're going to act like they've never met Batman before.

As soon as I saw the classic double windshield Batmobile it was obvious they'd go for a campy, funny Batman. Not my favourite incarnation but any time we get Kevin Conroy doing the voice, I'm all the way in.

I thought it was weird too that Batman was portrayed as some old guy who doesn't know technology. I heard this episode aired first in Italy, so maybe it was the pilot episode of the series and they were drawn a bit different because of it? Regardless, with the inconsistencies and Velma hacking Batman's technology, I'm going to wait to see the whole episodes before judging it.

I actually like the cartoon. I am only 26. 9/19/2019 07:01:53 pm
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the cartoons as well. I just feel the quality of this particular series could be better than it is currently.

I definitely agree with that. It feels like they're trying to make Scooby witty like they did in BCSD, which it worked there with the writing and comedic tone of the series, but here it just seems out of place. They've very much screwed up Scooby's character in this series, especially with his paragraph-length lines.

Still waiting for episode 12 but this certainly looks intriguing, like the old fashioned bat mobile design but ugh, more cheesy jokes and lines that don't fit characters, think guess who will be another flash in the pan scooby series.

This one seemed pretty appealing to me, other than Scooby's paragraph-length lines. That doesn't fit his character at all.

I really hope the writing gets better in this show, its sad to see lazy writing, I know for a fact that this show has potential and can be good.

I don't, but I know it's the Man-Bat, so pictures of him could be Googled (as it's a Batman villain that's already been established) though I'm not sure how he will look in the animation. I guess the Joker will be in this episode as well from what I've heard and will be voiced by Mark Hamill.

Actually in this one I kinda liked the whole idea of Daphne being related/not actually related to Alfred. Having him be her sort of butler/family friend/substitute polo player/uncle was offbeat enough to remind me of Daphne's quirks from Be Cool.
