I've created a don knotts cult on whatsapp for the week, I've told everyone to change their name and pfp to don knotts from the new scooby doo movies

Guess Who’s Knott Coming to Dinner for me by a large margin. The Spooky Fog’s cave scenes means how could I Knott choose this one

Ok that was confusing phrasing. I mean that the Spooky Fog’s cave scenes were Knott always the most entertaining, so how could I Knott give my vote to Guess Who’s Knott Coming to Dinner

I didn't really mind the cave scenes horribly much, but yeah, they did drag on a bit. Sadly, "The Spooky Fog" does Knott get my vote, since it's going to "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner."

Guess Who’s Knott Coming To Dinner hands down. Seeing Don Knotts playing different characters was funny. Not to mention this episode was pretty spooky.

All of Don's alternate personas were definitely very entertaining haha. I liked the ghost of Captain Moody's design quite a bit too (though some of the cemetery ghosts in "The Spooky Fog" were also pretty creepy).

I went with the Spooky Fog. I think I prefer the other episode more, but, his appearance as a detective wasn't really amusing for me. I did like him changing characters. I just thought him being comedic and scared in The Spooky Fog was more entertaining.

I do like Don's more comedic personality and the fact that he's actually confirmed to play himself (rather than Homer Pipsqueak) in "The Spooky Fog," but the plot of "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner" was more entertaining for me personally.

Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner, but I love them both

Both of them definitely have their charm, but "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner" was a bit more entertaining given the cave scenes dragged on in "The Spooky Fog."

Oh come on everyone, I expected to come on here and find everyone's names to be Don Knotts. The first one by a long way. The Spooky fog's plot gets a little confusing down in the caves.

I loved every appearances within scooby doo, but out of all three, I enjoyed Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner because I enjoyed the setting, the comedy, the mystery, and the villain more than the rest.

My rankings are similar, but Knott quite the same:

Oh, let's not forget that time the Scooby gang, Don Knotts and Phyllis Diller reunited in the Robot Chicken skit "A Scooby Friday", where they, uhm, met Jason Voorhees at Camp Crystal Lake, yeah

I really am too! I was disappointed Don made one of the comments he did about one of his apartment tenants at the end, as it was absolutely not an appropriate thing to say. Hopefully he was just given the line and it wasn't something he wrote.

Seth Green wrote the episode. Don's just a guest star in it. And that line from Don towards the end is apparently a reference to an earlier role from his career, as stated here: "This line refers to his [Don's] role as Mr. Furley in the sitcom 'Three's Company', who was a landlord. One of his tenants - played by John Ritter - pretended to be gay so Furley would agree to let him live with two women.".

I've never seen Three's Company so I wasn't aware of that reference, but I'm really glad to hear that's what he was referring to. It sounded kind of discriminatory out of context. Leave a Reply. |
