For the 50th weekly poll, I'm asking possibly the toughest question of all for those of you who thought both were terrible... Here's what the final results for last week's poll look like after counting up all the votes:
What is your favorite film from the current era of DTVs? Camp Scare - 28 Shaggy's Showdown - 11 Abracadabra Doo - 10 FrankenCreepy - 8 Stage Fright - 7 Mask of the Blue Falcon - 4 Big Top - 3 Moon Monster Madness - 2 Legend of the Phantosaur - 2 Music of the Vampire - 2

This one is pretty tough. In my opinion both weren’t that bad as people say they were. Sure both of them you would think that they would be darker but overall I think both did a good job. Both movies referenced older Scooby doo series and movies. In the end I think I go with return to zombie island because I just love how the characters in the previous movie were redraw for the sequel. The characters in the sequel looking like the characters in the prequel. That one cat creature that was roaming around the island was pretty scary and is obviously real. That’s the closest thing we got in having a real monster in return to zombie island.

I think Return to Zombie Island is slightly better too, just because it feels like it could be a good DTV if it were separate and not marketed as a sequel.

I pick curse of the 13 ghost because I thought that it was more enjoyable and I think people were too harsh on this movie imo because of the ending and to be fair with the ending velma wasn't there when the events of the 13 ghosts of scooby doo took place and I don't think the movie completely denied the exsistance of the 13 ghosts but left it into interpretation as for return to zombie island I don't hate as a dtv scooby doo movie but as a sequel yeah it sucks if they didn't want to include real monsters I think they should have made a normal dtv scooby doo movie with fake zombies and just make references to zombie island instead of making a sequel.

I forgot to mention I loved that chase music scene in return to zombie island. When’s the last time we had a chase musics scene in a Scooby movie.

There is a chase scene in Curse of the 13th Ghost and the name of the song is called Scoobystition.

Also if today is the day that Lost Soles of Jungle River premieres in Germany you think someone is able to provide a link to it. I’m not saying we need it right away just wondering.

I'm not sure if anyone would be able to provide a German link. Would people still want it even if the audio was in German?

Well as i said before i didn't like both of them. So the least worse for me is return to zombie island i guess

I think a lot of people's expectations were brought down by how bad Curse of the 13th Ghost was for them, so part of it might be that we kinda expected Return to Zombie Island to not be that great haha.

I have to go for 'Curse of the 13th Ghost'. I found it more enjoyable and more true to the series it was set to conclude, at least until the ending. As for 'Return to Zombie Island', I watched it with low expectations, so that's why it comes second. As WildwindVampire said here, it'd be better if it was a standalone DTV instead of being marketed as a sequel.

RTZI, cuz 13th Ghost makes less sense as far as continuity

That was a main reason for me as well for choosing Return to Zombie Island.

I know I’m going to get torched for saying this but I loved both movies and they are in my top 5 of favorite Scooby movies of all time. I actually prefer Return to Zombie island over the original. I kinda hate the original Zombie island and I think it’s criminally overrated.

Hahaha interesting opinion. Can't say I've ever heard anyone say they've flat out hated Zombie Island. Like Amber, I'd be interested to know why you hate it so much if you're willing to share!

oh no I don't hate zombie island I was asking why spooky space kook did but if you want to know my thoughts on zombie island then I think it's good but I think it's a bit overrated too I understand why people say it's their favourite but it's not mine I don't know why it just didn't connect with me for some reason.

Sorry, I worded my comment confusingly. I was also asking why Spooky Space Kook hated it, but interesting to know you're thoughts as well.

The reason I hate the movie is because it takes the fun out of Scooby to me. Scooby felt reassuring because the monsters where either fakes or something very goofy. But here they are legitimately real and many people are even killed as a result. Scooby was always something I can enjoy with the family and this doesn’t feel family friendly.

I really hate this new version of Velma too, even though she was a bit redeemed in Happy Halloween.

I have an idea for a poll you can do. What is your favorite clown villain? 11/11/2020 11:12:48 am
That's a good idea! I'll add it my running list of ideas. Thanks :)

Something tells me that Curse of the 13th Ghost needs to be properly rewritten, mainly because the conclusion movie Warner Bros. gave us was nothing compared to The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo series.
