Let's check in on the results from last week! I'll just say that one person really didn't want to spend the night in a haunted house, as they voted "no" five times haha!
If you were asked to spend the night in a haunted house, would you do it? Yes - 45 No - 27

The Headless Horseman of Halloween is my favorite Halloween episode because of the very creepy vibe it gives along with a great chase scene in the climax of the episode. Also, it has Scooby Dum in it and who doesn't like Scooby Dum.

I love that episode too, but my favorite is for sure "A Halloween Hassle at Dracula's Castle!"

I have that episode on VHS recorded from when I was like 3-4 on a Halloween block on USA. Still one of my favorites!

Headless Horseman. One of the best.

Went for Goblin King because it's a childhood favorite of mine. Second choice would definitely be the Halloween special of Be Cool because it's so greatly done. I see everyone going for the Headless Horseman episode. Personally whenever I watch this episode, I lose interest after the gang goes to the airport, probably because it's so anti-Halloween.

I've never liked the airport scene either! Feels very non-Halloween as you said. Glad to see so much love for Goblin King :)

In my honest opinion, I really liked the chase scene that took place there and now and then I can watch the actual scene on youtube. 10/25/2020 06:53:20 pm
I've always enjoyed how Goblin King is just different from the other Scooby movies, honestly. It explores a very magical and whimsical element of the Scooby formula that we don't see a lot.

A Scooby doo Halloween for me. That was the first Halloween special I saw as a kid. The scarecrows were menacing and scary. The cat was pretty creepy. I also like how that special contain a laugh track like the older episodes.

I voted for Happy Halloween Scooby Doo. I enjoyed this film. Will watch it again at the weekend. It didn’t feel the same watching it on a day when the UK had a bizzare heat wave.

£2.99 is amazing! And you all in the UK are lucky. We've had a cold snap here where I live and it's currently in the 30s for high temperatures and there's snow on the ground.

Really? It's been raining past four/five days non-stop here on the south coast. Horrible weather.

You're still pretty lucky, my weekly high is supposed to be barely above zero with a foot of snow

It was a heatwave last month when it came out. I was watching it in the evening and the sun was blazing through the window. 10/27/2020 07:35:33 pm
Oh wow! And yay, the return of Mr. Samuel Kirkwood! Haha I'm sorry, I know it was an accident, I just am amused whenever that pops up lol 10/27/2020 07:37:24 pm
@Peralaan Wow! Jeez, what state/country do you live in that it's so cold already, if you don't mind me asking? I guess I have pretty decent weather compared to you! 10/27/2020 07:43:38 pm
@Stephen Cribb Rock and Roll Mystery is just okay to me. I don't hate it, but it's not a favorite of mine and is the only one of the options listed above that I won't be watching this year for Halloween.

@WildwindVampire I live up in Montana. Part of the state has three feet of snow and below zero weather, one part is still in 60 degree weather, and the rest is anywhere in between. Until Thursday or Friday, my part is hanging below 10 and then we get 40's and 50's for a week 10/27/2020 08:00:09 pm
@Peralaan Oh okay, I didn't realize that a part of Montana got so much snow this early haha. I live in Minnesota personally, and while we have long winters here, generally they don't start this early. We got a huge snowstorm here last Tuesday and got like a foot of snow. We're supposed to be in the 40s/50s again this weekend, so I'm hopeful the snow will melt!

UK is just bizarre, you never have any clue just what it may be. Last month when visiting family it literally dropped from mid twenties (centigrade) to mid teens overnight. A great example is we had record wet weather last winter followed by record drought from March right through to end of May? Lol, me using predictive text again. 10/29/2020 08:58:24 am
Oh wow, I didn't realize that the UK was so unpredictable temperature wise!

Real tough one between Goblin King and Headless Horseman, but Goblin King just sneaks it for me, one of the standout films since the turn of the millennium in my eyes.

Goblin King is probably my favorite film from after the Zombie Island era to the current times honestly, which I know is a very unpopular opinion.

I don't understand that, it's a great movie and something totally unique in the Scooby doo franchise, I'd love a sequel but doubt we'll ever get one.

I wish we'd get a Goblin King sequel! I agree they likely won't ever make one, both because they kinda pretended it didn't exist by marketing Happy Halloween as "the first Scooby-Doo Halloween movie," and since the ending made Fred, Velma and Daphne forget, that might be another obstacle to a sequel getting made since the gang doesn't remember it.

I absolutely DETEST Goblin King. I think it’s a stain in Scooby’s videography. My absolute least favorite movie ever. I couldn’t even finish it that’s how awful I found it. How can they release quality content like Zombie island, Camp Scare, Loch Ness Monster then pull out trash like Goblin King? I’d rather watch Return to Zombie island than Goblin King and THATS saying something.

Totally agree on Goblin King. Least favourite along with Reluctant Werewolf. Having watched them once, I can say "never again" with some certainty, even though I own both on dvd.

...and as an adult who grew up during the 70's, if they'd made a KISS/Scooby crossover back then, it would have been the greatest thing on television, EVER.

Aww, I love both of those films haha. 10/27/2020 08:05:51 pm
A very strong opinion there haha, but still a fair one. I definitely wouldn't say its a stain on Scooby's videography and its honestly, to me, the best film in recent years. That's not to say I hate all the other films because I don't, I just really like Goblin King. I absolutely respect your opinion though, and agree that the latest Halloween film and the Headless Horseman are super solid pieces of Scooby media! :)
