I placed my vote for the ghoul the bat and the ugly. That episode was so dark, spooky and scary and the shadow creature was an awesome villain.

I like The Night Ghoul of Wonderland, because of how it was supposed to be a fantasy experience turned into a creepy mystery involving a real Night Ghoul of London that was really creepy.

Missed the previous one, again, probably the episode the rottens won, this one Ghoul Bat and Ugly followed closely by Star creature. Some good episodes in this series also.

I found Rocky Mountain Yii to be easily the best of this series. I found the Ghoul, the Bat, and the Ugly to be far too repetitive.

Interesting...repetitive how? Just because some of the monster designs were reused?

Yes, the reused designs were a factor but the main factor was seemingly putting Shaggy and Scooby in peril to only go away from that several times. Normally, in Scooby Doo, Shaggy and Scooby's fear stems from the threat of actual danger, spookiness, or something that they misconstrue as terrifying. Here, they are given real reason to be scared, only for it to be revealed as a safe situation too many times. It just kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth but I'm glad that you was able to enjoy the episode. 9/18/2020 08:41:31 pm
That's a fair argument and I can see why you wouldn't like it. I really loved the episode honestly, and I thought it was the best of this first Scrappy series, but I am biased against horror movie/haunted castle type episodes which this very much felt like haha.

There's quite some really or pretty good eps here, like the ones with the Star Creature, Devil Bear, Neon Phantom, Shadow Creature, Night Ghoul of London etc, but I'll go with I Left My Neck in San Francisco. It was a cool spin on your usual episode. The Lady Vampire mystery/plot was intriguing.

If I hadn't chosen The Ghoul, The Bat and the Ugly, this would have been my second choice. I loved how it was so different from the typical episode and how they suspected Daphne was the vampire!

Oh yeah, my bad lol. Kinda hard to distinguish the 1979-1982 stuff from each other at face value. I go by the Wikipedia, and even Scoobypedia in this case, rules for the separation of Scooby shows, so for me it's the first series of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979-1980) and the second series of SD&SD (1980-1982). I wonder why you have the 1980-1982 stuff split in 2 shows, I know that's how it was marketed in the 80s, but retroactively now it's officially just SD&SD (second series, 1980-1982), just like it is with The Scooby-Doo Show. 9/19/2020 10:41:15 am
Oh it's okay, I was just confused for a second haha. Yeah, I do know some people group it that way and I think that's a totally valid way to group it. For me, I guess the main reason I split it up, both on these polls and in the site episode guide, is because I feel there are clear differences between the 1980-1981 and the 1982 shorts. The 1982 shorts all include Uncle Fearless sending the guys going out to solve cases for the detective agency, whereas the 80-81 series is just kinda them screwing around and happening upon a monster or angering some random doctor/carnival owner/strongman/bulldog, etc. There are certainly a few episodes of the 82 series like that, such Misfortune Teller being one that comes to mind, but I feel both series have a different enough feel that it warrants them being grouped into different series. On top of that, the 80-81 series were 3 shorts with Scooby, Shaggy and Scrappy whereas the 82 series had 2 shorts with them, then a 3rd with Scrappy and Yabba-Doo. It is odd to group them under programming blocks, seeing as we don't count the Richie Rich or Puppy's New Adventures episodes (I've never even seen the latter series) as part of the Scooby franchise, but I feel like there are enough stylistic differences to group them as two different series.

That's a fair point, but they still feel similar enough to where I would say they're part of one show, on top of the fact that I usually agree with what the official sites, pages and productions say about this kind of stuff, cuz I don't really wanna bother questioning the Scooby franchise this way lol.
